Madhuri is called the best female dancer in Indian cinema but in this song i think Aishwarya danced better than her.. What u guys think?

Okay so a couple of things as a dancer I Wu like to highlight...1) Madhuri Dixit outdanced Aishwarya in this number. As opposed to what Jaby felt Madhuri exhibits better body control, better hand and feet placement and overall better execution of Kathak dance moves. Someone who is not familiar with classical dance technique will notice Aishwarya more because she has a natural advantage due to her height. Madhuri on the other hand is IMPECCABLE in her feet and finger placement while you can see Aishwarya falter and evn go ahead of rhythm in their side by side shots. 2) Madhuri was actually a couple months pregnant while shooting this. 3) Both Madhuri and Aishwarya are classically trained...Madhuri in Kathak and Aishwarya in Bharatnatyam. 4) Indian classical is ALWAYS performed barefeet. The characteristic features being rhythmic footwork in line with the music and hence the sound of feet slapping against the ground is essential in classical performance. Anklets are used to accentuate that further. In a complete opposite to Western styles all movement must be done on a flat foot including spins. The eye and fingers are also essential elements of Indian classical and each gesture of fingers and eye conveys a meaning. Getting it wrong can distort the meaning. Pointing of feet is a strict no-no.

If you are trained in classical then it wud be immediately evident how superior Madhuri is here. Aishwarya however does a pretty good job trying to match up most of the time though.

I like Aish as the most beautiful woman in the world and Madhuri as one of the best female dancers in Bollywood. That being said, I don't care about this music video. It's too Indian for me. I'd much rather have seen a reaction of Deewana Hai Dekho music video from K3G with Hrithik and Kareena

I love this one, I'm about to watch the reaction :-D but before I have to say... since you reacted to this... Are you telling me you haven't seen Devdas?!? 😲

Okay first, you guys need to watch Devdas because it's not acceptable for reviewers of Indian films not to have seen it lol XD Secondly, I feel like subtitles on songs make it hard for you to notice things beyond music and dancing. It's not the first time I see you react to a musical number and mention nothing at all about direction or editing when you normally should have. Here in Dola Re for example, Sanjay Leela Bhansali chose (like for most of his musical numbers) to favour long takes, and complicated ones at that when you see all the movements with the background dancers and the camera also moving around. This is definitely one of the most important features of this video. I think you can do without the subs for most songs, if you want to you can check the translation of the lyrics on the website Bollynook either before or after having watched the video. Understanding the lyrics is important in the context of the movie but in most cases when you react to a song out of context there is just no point :-)
