Desi Boyz has its moments and the theme is cool but execution is not the best... still I appreciate that you guys are trying many different movies even flawed ones from a decade ago or more. Please consider reacting to HASEEN DILLRUBA with Taapsee and Vikrant Massey. It's on Netflix and a sequel is upcoming. It's a true sequel and the first movie is partly a thriller so you shouldn't check anything about the new movie before seeing the first. I will echo a request above and also recommend SANAM TERI KASAM, it's a very effecient romantic drama which was a surprise hit in 2016 (surprise because the lead actors were unknown and the movie was a small release at first). TERI BAATON MEIN AISA ULJHA JIYA released earlier this year with Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon is also a good watch. Comedy/romance with a robot. Otherwise, I will again recommend old classics to you. If you are doing semi hits with very mixed reviews from 10-15 years back, you can definitely spare some slots for old classics that are sometimes even internationally renowned. I've already given detailed recommendations on earlier posts so don't want to repeat myself or copy paste but I will still ask you to investigate the following titles (for a reaction that I think should really involve Jaby): Sholay (1975) Mera Naam Joker (1970) Awaara (1951) Pyaasa (1957) Mayabazar (Telugu, 1957) IMO Jaby will find interesting themes & stories and/or interesting filmmaking techniques in these movies. Sholay is THE classic, involving major artists in front of and behind the camera, and it's a masala blueprint with impressive filmmaking during the action scenes. Mera Naam Joker has a strong story (or rather 3 stories in 1) that also shows how daring Raj Kapoor was, you'll be quite surprised to see this content in mainstream Bollywood from over 50 (!!) years back. Awaara from very early in Raj Kapoor's career also shows his timeless filmmaking talent while exploring relevant social themes. The rest of the cast is iconic too. Pyaasa would introduce you to another renowned artist who was both behind and in front of the camera, Guru Dutt (not related to Sanjay). He was the tortured artist of the time and the movie explores the plight of artists in a capitalist society. MayaBazar is THE telugu classic, the prime example of the popular mythological genre of films. It features major stars (NTR's grandfather, Nagarjuna's father, and Savitri whose biopic Mahanati has been feature twice on CineDesi) and very creative, fun vfx of the time. And also from the 90s: Rangeela (1995), with Aamir & Jackie Shroff, a lighthearted romantic triangle that is aging extremely well.
