Me every time I read the description: Mosco, do you need permanent Elijah therapy?

Vilmu

7:24 Nate Stevenson has stated that these cat people are a reference to the Magicats from the original cartoon and they're distantly related to Catra: some of them left their planet and moved to Etheria a long time ago.

RibKoboldScout

That punch was probably so cathartic for you after putting up with the last season of Catra's bull shit haha

Luke Teasdale

"I want there to be more than 4 more episodes" we all do mosco, we all do (╥ ‸ ╥)

CrimsonShadow

For a Shera movie, I think these two are generally desired by most fans, but either a follow up (the last episode does provide something that could be the focus) or something back in time focusing on Mara as Shera and the initial conflict between the First Ones and Prime, along with making the Heart of Etheria.

Vilmu

Netossa and Spinnerella have always been wives, but they weren't allowed to mention it early on (I remember reading somewhere that it was supposed to be stated in some text, but the higher-ups told them to remove it.)

Trinity Blais

I cannot WAIT for the next episode!!!

Jenny D

Wrong Hordak learning to wink is giving Gus learning to high five!

Jenny D

Oh no, Mosco still thinks Catra’s hair was completely buzzed off! Mosco, it was just slicked back! It hasn’t grown at all, she just restyled it (and possibly trimmed her bangs)! Remember that adorable, messy lock that fell in her face when Prime forced her to fight Adora?

Jenny D

I love the subtleties in Keston’s voice acting! The generic clones are robotic, Wrong Hordak is high pitched and cheerful, Hordak is still low and gravely, and Horde Prime is somewhere in between them.

Lucas Barros

IIRC, Nate's original plan was an 8 season show. But they were only given 5 seasons. However, I don't think they were caught too much by surprise by it since this decision came very early, I think. But I don't have a source for that timeline, so take it with a grain of salt.

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

Catra doesn't need to get in with the Princess Rebellion. She only needs to be in with the Best Friends Squad, which she's doing pretty well already, and the others will take her, however grudgingly, as an ally in the fight. (I mean, they're willing to accept help from feckin' Shadow Weaver, of all people...)

Jenny D

Pretty sure the mushroom lady is voiced by Grey Delisle aka Madam Razz aka Azula from ATLA, etc.

Jenny D

As someone with a rather submissive personality, Perfuma’s “I don’t wanna be in charge anymore,” while crying from relief is my spirit animal.

Jenny D

Look, I think I’ve made my sympathetic feelings about Catra pretty clear, but even I will admit that she earned that punch. She ruined Princess Prom! And did a bunch of other stuff. Edit to add: But the insult was unwarranted! Catra’s face is one of her best assets!

Jenny D

I’ve always wanted a She-ra movie that involved rescuing Queen Angella. Narratively I don’t see the point of specifying that she’s trapped instead of dead if they’re not going to find a way to bring her back.

Sero

I personally feel like the space travel from Launch onwards was a few months.. maybe 6 tops. A year seems a *lot* to me, given the show supposedly is supposed to take place over 2-3 years, I remember reading somewhere. (Though that said, it's implied Glimmer was a captive on Prime's ship for some time before her rescue from Catra/the space crew. But I found that poorly implied on her side when S5 started. So makes sense the timeframe in this show is also hard af to estimate.) As far as Catra goes in being accepted into the Rebellion, it seems evident that if Adora vouches for her (and implied Bow, Glimmer, and Entrapta do too by not objecting) the rest will listen. It may not cure all grievances, but Adora has something of the final say; plus, they're at war, and with many brainwashed allies, every person on the Rebellion's side is an asset. I second Jenny D. Finding some way to rescue Angella would be so wonderful for a movie concept. I can't tell you until you've seen the finale, but it could surely tie into what is talked about at ... the end of everything. ;)

Valentina M

OMG Frosta and that punch! 🐱 🥊

Tammy Ragsdale

That's the one I like best. I have some other wishes too, but they have to do with things that would be spoilers so I'll keep them to myself for now.

Tammy Ragsdale

Ah, and another learns that Shot In The Dark is one of the most rewatchable episodes in the series. You have either got really sharp eyes or the best luck ever on where you pause. I didn't notice Bow looking at Glimmer like that until my second rewatch of the series. Catra and Glimmer who shared a downward arc last season both get upward arcs this season. Glimmer is really starting to come into her own as a leader now. She's learned to rally people and inspire them and she's listening to others now. She's also gotten more powerful and can really hold her own in a fight. I think Catra's actually taking the right approach here; hanging back a little until invited in and helping out as part of the group. She did not have to go out of her way to say what she did to Netossa. You could tell how unsure she was about even saying anything by how awkward it is.

Catradora fan

This is my least favorite episode of the season. Frosts punching Catra isn't all that surprising ( she's still mad about Princess Prom) but I don't like how they tried to make it comedic because Catra had been physically abused all her life. There she is again Grey DeLisle as the shopkeeper (Azula's voice actress).

Peluche

yessss oh my god I've been dying for this !!!! Angela is literally just trapped, I hope that one day they can bring her back, even if it's in a comic or something

potato potato also another potato

that's interesting, given it always felt pretty overt, then again they definitely disappear for a season or two, which could be related. When did we see Bow's dad's? season 3?

potato potato also another potato

at a minimum it definitely feels like they had planned on an entire season in space, which would have been the ideal time for catra to slowly integrate with the team and for her and adora to get closer. Alas...

potato potato also another potato

yeah, at this point I think they just take who they can get, catra, shadow weaver, double trouble to some small extent, a horde clone...if somebody is friendly in the moment, that's good enough.

Vilmu

Season 2. I hear they were also told to not have explicitly gay main characters and they were told to tone down the Princess Prom episode. I'm glad the show is still super gay despite issues like that.

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

By contrast, this is exactly the movie plot I *don't* want. Not only would it set up a constitutional crisis for Bright Moon, but it runs the risk of undoing a lot of Glimmer's character arc for the series. The only way it might possibly work is if Angella's rescued early on and the main conflict of the story is that the world has essentially moved on without her, so at the end she and Micah go off together for parts unknown to enjoy their retirement or something (which still has a problem in that Angella is supposedly immortal while Micah, well...) Still, that's more the plotline for another 13-episode season, rather than a movie.

Vex Valor

If you look at Catra's hair when it's first cut short, it is slicked back so it's a bit longer than how it appears. I think it got confirmed that they were gone for 4 months, but not 100% sure on that.

Willow Arkan

Welcome to the end stretch She-ra blues. Back when it just stopped airing there was a change.org petition petitioning for another season, I did in fact subscribe and got my brother who doesn't care for the show to sign.

Willow Arkan

For one Catra is a lot less unsettling to be around than Shadow Weaver, whose is either mean or venomously flattering.

Catradora fan

Mosco: "I want more!" Don't we all Mosco 😂🤣😅 I think the reason why teleportation effects Catra is when she was teleported Glimmer wasn't at full power

Willow Arkan

Her empathy is starting to show, also not just focusing her concern on Adora, but also someone she effectively just met.

Willow Arkan

Goddess yes, a Mara spin off has been my dream ever since we got to see her tragic backstory. I've always imagined it as more of a bitter sweet doomed heroine story, like it starts with the flashbacks from this series, showing her last moments and her message to Adora, only to go back to when she first arrives on Aetheria and shows how she ends up in that moment.

Willow Arkan

Catra, truly the most straight character and Adora who doesn't drool over every buff woman she meets, outside of Scorpia. if that was them complying with direction, imagine the series with free reign. The unsubtle flirting by Catra would have reached new heights.

Willow Arkan

I thought they cut it back a decent amount, but it was more like around hand width length? Though agree on the matter of it not being buzz cut, that comment confused me.

Jenny D

The piece that fell in front of Catra’s face during the fight in episode 5 was longer than her bangs are now. I think it went down to her jaw.

Animegirl

If we got a She-ra movie, they could be on the space ship to find adoras home when they stumble across a planet that has catra's people & we could dive into catra's origin.

Kris Grimsley

It's such a small moment, but I feel like it was a great showing of growth for Catra to comfort Netossa about Spinerella. I mean, she didn't need to do that. Nobody else really prompted it and nobody would have thought twice about it if she didn't, but she still felt the need to do so because she felt empathy for Spinerella and Netossa's plight. Good job, Catra

Neetaku

That sounds awsome and i'd want that too, but to be frank, she'd just end up on Eternia.

Tabatha Cat

I do love Catra's sass.

Ryan Porter

Are you sure you want another season? Are you sure you want thirteen more episodes of useless lesbians and dumb fucking sapphics? "Tell me about it... stud." A sapphic remake of Grease would be pretty fun. Then again, a sapphic remake of a lot of things would be pretty fun. "________, but gay" has so many possibilities. Just four episodes left... All good things must come to and end... A She-Ra movie... I can't answer that properly until you finish the show. But I would love to see a movie or series focusing on Mara, even if it would have the same ending as Rogue One.

Lin

Fun fact, perfuma is actually Trans, and with the princess system, seemingly being exclusive to women the show is making a very powerful statement about trans people with her. I love Nate, he’s a great storyteller.

Ashley Silver

Poor Netossa 😭. Fuck you, Prime!

Azirapalala

Interesting how even Melog who reflects Catra's emotions judges her when she makes the joke

SweetCandle

Who would win in an air fight between Spinnerella and Zaheer?

DoctorAlakazam

Horde Prime may take back Airlandia, but its not about winning, its about sending a message.

Brendon J. Dube

Perfuma is trans, but the only person who knew that at the time was her character designer. Stevenson said he didn't feel like he could take any credit for that, since he didn't find out until later. He did support the decision when he found out, although I think he called it head-canon

Vilmu

+ Nate said that he'd want trans characters to be voiced by trans actors, like Jewelstar of the Star Siblings.

Tabatha Cat

In a sense there are only three more episodes, as the last two could be considered to be two parts of one longer episode.

Lin

I didn’t know that, that’s really cool of the designer

Omegastar

Huh, Mosco is right, Bow IS blushing at Glimmer there. I never noticed that before!

Kevin Morris

No spoilers, but I really want to see a movie from Mara's time! Maybe one about the battle on Kritus! Love Melog!

Pyrus

Is the Siege of Kritus in Mara's time? For all we know it is even millenia before Mara. But I agree that a movie following Mara's story would be great! Lots of opportunity to expand onto the worldbuilding of the First One's civilization
