Something interesting I noticed on a recent re-watch is that in the backround of walking down the street 10 years ago you can see Gideon's mom and das walkimg Gideon in a stroller and his mom doesn't look crazy on edge like she does now.

So back in the past, Mabel shut down Toby's Broadway dream because he said in the present that it didn't go anywhere, but really, if she hadn't said anything, he would have kept practicing. I'm not sure if something else would have stopped hi, time travel is confusing, afterall. But still, it's another reason to hate Mabel.
