Here is the opening theme to the original 80's She-Ra https://youtube.com/watch?v=wR65P73X5GI&feature=share It is quite different from the new one. They changed the story line quite a bit, including how she got the sword. If this is anything like the original we will have to see He-man because there's a connection. In the original, the characters were more like in their 20's. Now they made them like teenages.

Madame Razz is one of the best, most hilarious characters in the entire show. And Swift Wind is definitely one of the best animal companions in animation.

Historically there wasn't really a "correct" term for a winged unicorn. More recently people have started using the term "alicorn", which historically was a term for "the horn of a unicorn, as a medical ingredient". Fantasy author Piers Anthony uses refers to winged unicorns as alicorns in many of his novels, and the term has become widely used in the My Little Pony fandom, eventually becoming canon to the series itself. But that was all in the last 40 years.

We don't have official ages for most characters. That said for S1 the creators have said Adora is 17-18. Glimmer strikes me as a bit younger so probably 15 or 16.

i know this might be a joke, i can't tell, but it's been confirmed by the creators that both adora, catra, netossa, and spinnerella are lesbians, and bow & glimmer are bi.

Fun fact: the green lizard-lookin' Horde kid being all tender with Kyle is named Rogelio, and he's *technically* a princess from a principlaity that sided with the Horde a long time ago (gender works...differently with his species). He's also probably the most eloquent of all the characters; he just doesn't tend to talk unless he's got something significant to say.

It's never stated, but I suspect becoming She-Ra left Adora stronger even in her normal form (if not supernaturally strong). I mean, when she first found the sword she had trouble lifting it, and now she's, as you pointed out, easily waving it around.
