Bill Schmidt has been in scouting for over 35 years. He's a pioneer in the art of talent evaluation. In this interview, we talk about drafting Nolan Arenado and missing the boat on Mike Trout.

Bill goes on to talk about coaching and scouting Barry Bonds as a teenager, watching Alex Rodriguez play in high school. Bill tells the story of landing both Zac Veen and Benny Montgomery, as well as who he had actually planned on drafting in 2020 with the expectation Veen wasn't going to be on the board.

We wrap up with how Bill scouts pitchers, knowing he'll be challenging them by pitching in Coors Field for half of their starts... as well as his initial thoughts on how the 2023 MLB Draft is shaping up.
