Increasing Accessibility to Patreon Rewards: Dropbox (Patreon)

Dear Patrons,

I have been thinking of various ways to improve upon delivering rewards to you all and I believe I have finally figured out a new process that will increase accessibility for everyone. Up until now I have been uploading content to Google Drive, but that content can only be viewed if you have a gmail account. I have been repeatedly running into situations where Patrons are unable to create gmail accounts or don’t want to give out personal information to create a gmail account. I also have Patrons from other countries whose primary language isn’t English so creating a gmail account would be very difficult for them. As a result these Patrons are not receiving their full rewards which isn’t fair to them.

Instead of using Google Drive I plan on switching to Dropbox. With Dropbox you’ll be able to access your rewards with a password rather than having to sign into a gmail account. This means that all Patrons will be able to access their rewards without having to create or sign into an account. I plan on creating a new password at the beginning of each month for the rewards which will be sent to you via private message in Patreon. This does mean that there’s potential for non-Patrons to view the rewards if they somehow manage to get a hold of the password for the month, but honestly I think it’s a small price to pay as long as all my Patrons are able to access their rewards. 

I really do believe this is the fairest thing to do for all my Patrons. I’ll let you all know once I’ve completed the setup hopefully later this week and then you can all access the rewards you signed up for!
