This episode is great. Last one might be overall the best of the early seasons, but honestly every episode in this season has been a banger.

In the books Brienne admits that she only beats him bc of his condition as a prisoner and being chained up, she believed he was the best swordsman alive

When is it ever relevant to compare two fighters when one is starved and a war prisoner for months? My comment was responding to them saying Jaime “realised Brienne would kick his ass” when Jaime was just surprised she could take on 3 men. Brienne is very good, but prime Jaime is levels above so that didnt even cross his mind.

They certainly underplayed Tyrion's wound in the show - for obvious practical and marketing reasons. Book Tyrion lost his nose entirely.

The thing that looked at sam was a white walker, the others walking with it were essentially just zombies that the walkers turned back alive

Yeah, its gnarly either way. But if you want an idea of how bad book Tyrion got it there's some fan art out there. Its not pretty.

Jamie wasn't thinking "wow she could beat me" , she was simply better than he thought she was, At like 15 Jaime was already good enough to be on the kingsguard, (the youngest ever). He was fighting legendary knights at 16 and keeping up with them , this jaime when healthy and not starved for months could beta brienne with 1 eye covered and 1 arm tied behind his back

Someone already mentioned it but the crazy looking thing is a white walker. Whereas the zombie creatures have just been “turned” into wights by the white walkers

Yes, this. Jaime is a living legend. Could easily beat Brienne, In the books with ehr point of view. She said if Jaime wasnt cuffed, half-starved and exhausted. He would of won easily but instead basically was a stalemate.

You need to put Podrick on the board, the squire who saved Tyrion’s life. Also the guy who sliced Tyrion’s face was a Lannister, not sure if you realised in the moment. Fantastic reactions, so looking forward to season 3.

No, not a Lannister! It was one member of the Kings Guard! In the Books it was Ser Mandon Moore, but he lived in later Seasons of the series. So it was a member of the Kingsguard with no name!

And Alice in Borderland. If you liked Squid game it’s in the same vein but much better. It’s on Netflix and is 2 seasons I believe of about 8 episodes. It’s extremely well done. It’s the premise of a having to play games setup loosely themed on Alice in Wonderland. The twist at the end is great. Highly, highly recommend.

Ehh, Jaime was more surprised that she is actually a good fighter. Jaime could pretty easily dispatch of Brienne at his best, he is a literal legend in the Seven Kingdoms.

To clarify, there were Northmen surrounding Winterfell before they knocked out Theon. Theon even says he saw from the battlements. They just left after the Ironborn weren't in the castle and the castle was destroyed
