Introducing one of my favorites, Greatjon Umber! He is a proud and fierce man standing near seven feet tall and wielding a monstrous greatsword in battle. He is a man that believes in respect being earned, not given. That is why he was testing Robb by threatening to march home. Keep in mind, Robb is like 16 or 15 and already marching off to war. Not many would take him serious. However, seeing Robb's courage to stand up to him, Greatjon was impressed.

Also, look at the Hound when Ser Barristan Selmy drew his sword. Despite having multiple Kingsguard members to protect the King, the Hound still was ready to jump in. A swordsman that even Jaime, a legendary swordsman in his own right looks up to as an idol and a better fighter, Barristan is just that deadly of a warrior, I would not doubt he could cut through those other Kingsguard members with ease.
