how you gonna kidnap somebody and say "he doesnt have to be so terrified"? lol. Migi isnt changing. Just like Shinichi is saying the the scene thats paused right now... Migi is only saying those things cause he knows its whats needed to get through to a human... hes just still using logic, that doesnt necessarily mean he FEELS that way, hes just saying what they wanna hear, like any smart person who wants to manipulate someone would do. Also holding a baby like that wouldnt kill it (its still dumb as hell to do though lol) now if it were only a few days or weeks old then yes holding it like that would definitely kill it, but at its current age of a few months it would be perfectly fine if someone did that
