another successful week of studies! i had a Lot more fun doing these than the sketches, and i feel like i actually learned way more about muscles and the planes of the body, and also like. markmaking and blending. for most of these i traced the major lines of the body and painted within that. after all my focus wasn't on proportion but on light and value. my favorites are the first one and the buster sword

next week i'll be using a clothed model, so say goodbye to muscle man and his cheeks.
