 Project TITAN: A physical-enhancing project that started as a research experiment by Dr. Astor Elon, a young Salarian geneticist who was trying to trigger 'puberty' in his friend and lover, Nakmor Wrid, a young Krogan technician, who was the runt of his litter.

The Titan Serum is effective only to those have a specific gene that causes delayed development of secondary sexual characteristics, which in the modern day is extremely rare. The serum also effect those who have gone through puberty, as long as the gene is present in their genetic code.
