Its base off real story so you can check it out on the internet the king who falls in love with his maid the only woman he ever love was her so he writes about her and that's why we know of this story today that happened way back in their time maybe not all of it is straight base off the story line but most of it is correct

Am guessing because whenever the king dies if his daughter husband has also pass away she too have to leave the palace once he dies am not sure why it's like that also the king personal maid has to leave the palace as well that means deok-im friend have to leave once the king dies because everyone have a personal reason to be at the palace so i am guessing when that reason is gone you have to leave unless you ask the king who is in charge now to let you stay
