Remember MV was released when JINU and HOONY were going to military. And when they drop this album, I thought they were saying goodbye 😭😭😭😭 so glad that they’re back. I remember there’s an episode where they’re in tears when Jinu recorded his parts for this MV.

I like how you describe their music.. I feel the same way.. that's why I fell in love with them.. I like other kpop group's music, but when I hear Winner I feel different.. there is something special about their music , maybe because they made it themselves while their own music genre is different, so when they make music together a new musical character is created, which cannot be found in other kpop groups..

So you have heard “Don’t Flirt” and “Different” in their KILLING VOICE. WINNER did sing some of their b-sides there so you’ll probably recognize some songs in future album reactions. Also, whenever you hear a high note, falsetto, crazy adlibs, or insane run in the background IT IS YOON. Even when he’s already singing there’s a layer of him going off in the background or in the harmonies. There is indeed a lot of different layers to make the song be more fuller and clean. Which is why it’s incredibly hard to compose/write lyrics for a song. That is why there tends to be long hiatuses with WINNER because they really take their time with composing/writing their songs. They have to master it..perfect it and then record it… sometimes even then they make changes even if it’s recorded. So it takes a lot to do just one song..imagine 5-12 songs that were picked for an album. Imagine how many songs Yoon, Mino, and Hoony have composed themselves whether for WINNER or their own solos that they have to go through, fix it, or get rid of it? I understand the high standards of quality because WINNER are perfectionists. They don’t want to rush their music, but at the same time ICs also know that they have recorded songs that are ready for release.. but ughh YG higher ups don’t always give them the green light to release as often as they would like..😆

Ohh and about Taehyun.. I know some ICs don’t want to bring him up cuz he’s not a part of WINNER anymore. Probably because a lot of articles from the past and recently always says FORMER WINNER member. So ICs get a little annoyed by that cuz why say former WINNER member? He’s in his own band.. say he’s SOUTH CLUB member why bring up his former group?? But other than that.. to me he’s still our talented, chic, but soft hearted maknae. He was there at the beginning of their careers and I appreciate what he brought to WINNER and ICs. Anyways, tbh Taehyun had a really good departure with YG and WINNER. They all wanted him to take care of his mental health..that was their main priority for him to get treatment and rest. I guess the idol lifestyle and being in YG was too much pressure for him and he wanted to compose a more indie/alternative music path. So he left in really good terms and I’m pretty sure he still have communication with his WINNER hyungs. I feel so sad for him with the different kinds of situation that he’s been in these past 2-3 years. I hope he’ll be able to overcome it or learn to balance his life better. I’ve seen clips of his lives and it is concerning..and I noticed his fragile mental health since WIN.. and to see him still struggling with it. I just hope he’s around people that will help him get back up and encourage him. 🥺

Really looking forward to your WINNER reactions cos I'm missing them this enlistment era and I always love rediscovering them through someone else's eyes- so that's why I'm here. Anyway, are you planning to react to their shows too? I suggest you react to WINNER Halfmoon Friends were all 5 of them (with Taehyun) became kindergarten teachers for 15 days. WINNER with kids is so fun you have to see it! lol If you're looking for a more recent one though you can try WINNER Real Now, it was filmed right after the hyungs Jinu and Hoony were discharged from the military.
