If this comes to be true then hang them both. We are still paying the price for what the Walker spy ring did.

Interesting that they successfully contacted COUNTRY1 only to be snitched on to the FBI attaché months later. I wonder if their experts looked at the data on the SD and found it to be useless or maybe they were worried it was a set up.

And the real mistake he made was to not stick to his own plan. Glad he made that mistake in this case, but I imagine there are many that learn from this and don't do that same kind of mistake.

Very interesting reading! Thanks Aaron.

Hang them. This was not their first rodeo selling the same critical info. “Country 1”, maybe UK, Israel, or France are the second fiddles. This Rosenberg like couple already sold these out to China, Russia. And likely to supposed “friendly” countries. IMO, the FBI, USN, will hide the expansive role of these traitors. Make faux claims this was it. This could make the Walker traitor clan look like chumps in comparison.

Japan? India? Israel? It must be a country that deemed it more beneficial to help the US catch the spy (for good bilateral relations and a maintained global naval balance) than to risk stealing the secrets for themselves. Japan has said it's willing to build nuclear submarines, and India is already building, so it makes sense that he would try to sell to one of them. I don't think he would risk selling to a NATO country.

Joonas Karhunen

Exactly. He could not follow his on terms on the face of opportunity, and got rightfully bitten in ass.

Joonas Karhunen

His last protons made me cringe. So desperate to play a part on a defection story.

Iz would not turn their guy in. Plus they have no interesting in nuclear propulsion being a strictly regional power. Japan would not have sat on the offer for 9 months before telling the US.

There also could be an American agent in a key position in country #1 who sat on this information without letting other individuals in country #1 know. It could have taken 9 months to safely let the US know of this wanna be spy or to get safely get out of country #1 before this guy was nabbed.

Let's be honest... Calling this dude a "spy" is generous. More of just "an idiot". Hope he enjoys looking at a brick wall in Florence, Colorado for the rest of his life 🤷
