Great points. The new frigate design already a train wreck. Hull too small to support a 5” or hull sonar so they were deleted. I’d say this fatally compromises the design. Right now they offer little more than an LCS. Interested to hear Aarons view.

Hey there! Excellent work on the Arleigh Burke brief! I tried to go with more quick fire questions this time, but it was hard to make it smaller than the US-Philippines self-defense agreement. Oh well.... 1) The USA follows but hasn't signed the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). China has signed, but one "could" say that they don't follow it. Yet they use the fact that the US hasn't signed for political benefits (propaganda). If you are gonna follow the damn thing, why not also sign it? 2) The US subs have 533mm torpedo tubes for torpedoes and VLS tubes for Tomahawks. The Royal Navy subs fire both from the 533mm tubes. Isn't the RN system better since you can adjust your load depending on the operation? 3) The US Navy have two submarine tender ships. There is basically nothing about them in the internet, because they aren't cool and don't shoot torpedoes (although they do carry them). Any experience with them? 4) I read that the Prairie-Masker radiated noise reduction system, that surface combatants have is really really good. What's your view? 6) Finally, as someone who can't live without a mechanical keyboard, I was always curious about the type and quality of keyboard that you use on a navy console like the sonar. How does it feel?
