New exclusive video - My travel vlog in Madrid (Patreon)

It's finally here! I've been promising this for a while and I finally sat down and made it - my travel vlog of everything we did in Madrid outside of the puzzle competition. It's over an hour long, so settle in and work on a puzzle while you watch. (This is a great one to watch at 2x speed - that's what I did when I was reviewing it 😅)

Unfortunately I didn't get the Finals video done for today, but I'm partway through editing, so it should be ready for next Sunday. These are the steps I take for each different event:

1. Organize the footage on top of the livestream lining up all of the clocks and audio so I have a real-time chronological timeline.

2. Make all of the charts.

3. Scrub through the footage and write the voiceover, moving the clips I want to use into the main timeline.

4. Film the on-camera parts and voiceover.

5. Edit down the voiceover to remove the pauses and put the clips on top of what I'm talking about, and add the charts.

6. Go back through the video, tightening it up, adding extra graphics, adding music, adding the name cards.

7. Watch it back, making sure everything flows once I see it all together.

8. Color correct all of the footage.

9. Export and watch the video over and over again until I can't find anything else wrong with it.

So I've done through Step 5 for the Individual and Pairs events, and through Step 2 for the Teams events. And then I also have to finish the intro, awards ceremony, and outro, not to mention making the thumbnail and editing photos for Instagram. So there's still a lot to do before next Sunday!
