No Update from March (Patreon)

G’day all! It's the 5th, and - okay let's just get to the explanation.

Yes, I was on vacation for the first half of last month, and then there's some unexpected business with my family including tax stuff and going to the capital to take care of visa...but really, I'm supposed to have enough time to finish something if it weren't for...

Well, some of you who follow my SNS might've saw the post. Basically my Photoshop died. Honestly though, I am not that surprised, this has been a long time coming. For context, my laptop turns 10 years old this year and I've had the software since the start, back when you could actually buy the thing...and I stopped updating stuff once Adobe start pretending like a starving artist and demand your money monthly. I've had no issue so far, but everyone does tell me that this version of PS is basically hanging by a thread.

It's just the way for it to go was very strange. I did not update my operating system or do any change that I know might render the old software unusable - basically, I was drawing as usual one day, then I went to sleep - I woke up the next day and my PS just stops working.

I tried in vain to scour the internet for any possible solution for days, thinking that it has to be an issue on my computer, considering other software from the same package is still running fine, but at the end I realized I just had to accept that this 10 years old software is a goner, and uninstalled it.

Now I know some of you meant well by telling me to use other more free software rather than groveling at the feet of the multimillion company, but I have attachment issue and I just don't feel like learning a new software and leaving all the brushes and plugins I've built my workflow around.

But thankfully, through my methods...I was able to procure a newer version of Photoshop, one that still doesn't drain my wallet monthly. I installed it, it worked, I transferred my brushes and plugins there and thus, I'm back in the business.

I know I'm supposed to inform you all about my situations earlier, but in situations like this I'm really the type that just tunnel visions on finding a solution rather than bothering to update like 5 different sites...

tl;dr Photoshop died so no update for March. Bought new version so I'm back now.

Regardless, my Patreon is charged per update so you're not charged anything for last month. Therefore, I'm not changing folder access password - you can access it with the same link and password from last month.

Anyways, gloom and doom aside - this gave me the time to catch up with the new hottest thing on the block, Dungeon Meshi! My goodness, this serie has so much canon...potential inside that I was confused on picking which to draw! At the end I just went with the generic throw them into the tentacle pit and see what happens... I mean, Laios would be happy about that!

This is just a little taste on more things to come, an Hors d'Oeuvre if you will...so look forward to it!
