The Nightmare of SwissAir 111. I find the incidents where there is time for the pilots to problem solve (vs just quick reaction) to be most gripping. (In my opinion SwissAir 111 should have landed asap and not meandered around until the cockpit was ablaze and they had full instrument failure.) I also am a big fan of using real audio (either CVR or ATC) when possible. Speaking of which, the crash of Western Airlines flight 2605 in Mexico City has gut wrenching audio, but I haven’t seen a solid investigation video with the details on how the pilots (who had flown the route before) got confused and didn’t perform the sidestep which led to that extremely sad final transmission.
