Disaster strikes high above the ocean, as a Qantas Airbus A330 on its way from Singapore to Perth, dips into a terrifying dive.

Passengers are thrown into the ceiling and badly injured, while the pilots are hanging on for dear life. Nobody knows what is causing the plane’s violent behaviour, or, if it will stop before they hit the ocean below. This is an incredible story where science fiction meets horror. This is the story of Qantas flight 72.

Absolutely amazing episode. First YouTuber I have gone and supported on patrion and it is absolutely bloody worth it. Thank you for your videos. Much love from Australia.

Fantastic video as always, I am always captivated to the very end. I'm actually from Perth and even though I have previously seen the reenactment that 7 News did a few years ago, your video recount felt like I'd never heard this story before. I think that's a testiment to how great your narration is. I remember one of the flight attendants (Fuzzy Maiava) kinda got screwed over by Qantas which was quite unfortuante. And something about the 1st and 2nd officers not quite getting the acknowledgement they deserved compared to the captain (who obviously deserved the respect and recognition he recieved, I don't want to take away from that). I'm SO excited for the interview with the captain, altho I thought Qantas banned it's employee's from talking about the incident so maybe he's retired from Qantas now? [I just read he left Qantas in 2016 so makes sense he agreed to the interview :) ] Either way, I love how much of a true blue Aussie icon Kevin Sullivan is

Hi Ebony, thank you for the kind words. Yes, he’s retired from Qantas now, so he’s free to speak about this. There’s a whole human side to this story (naturally) which I didn’t get into here, but which I believe was covered in the 7 News doc you watched. I should release the interview in full today, so I hope you enjoy all the extra details in that. It’s nearly 3 hours long so perhaps multiple sittings are required!
