Hi Patrons 😊

I am planning out the next few episodes and it got me wondering - what aspects of the videos do you most enjoy, and what would you like to see more of?

Currently I am focusing on incidents with a significant human factors component, and especially those where there is a prolonged problem-solving or troubleshooting element. These incidents are the most interesting to me, and they also lend themselves to storytelling📝

However, I am always keen add variety to the channel, and I'm curious to hear your suggestions.

What would you like to see more of in my videos?

Hey there, the accidents that really got to me are the ones where audio recordings of the pilots were retrieved. The Aeroperu 603 video for example for me is still one of your best ones because of the pilot audio + the pilots were completely lost whilst we had the birds eye view. That combo makes for a really interesting video as we get to experience how pilots use their experience and training to get out of a bad situation and we get to hear their voice to understand how well / badly they reacted to the situation.

Also, aircraft disapperances! It still amazes how with all the modern technology in the world does an aircraft disappear!

Hi Kartik, thanks for this idea! I’ll do my best to source some of these tapes - for the majority of crashes there are only ATC tapes, but cockpit audio does exist for a few (Aeroflot 592 comes to mind). I like your point about getting the bird’s eye view while the pilots themselves are confused. That’s something I want to work into most of the videos going forward.

Absolutely! I’ll be covering MH370 later this year. I’m thinking of doing a proper deep-dive into it, like a full 45-minute video. I’ll release to patrons a week before it’s released on YouTube.
