October update 11: MtE: ANDROID/MOBILE TEST RELEASE! (Patreon)

Hello guys, we finally have a working android release ready for testing!

WARNING:

This is a test-release! It might not work for everyone, it might not work on older phones or old android versions. We are offering it to our Patreon members for TESTING as an extra on top of the other rewards.
We cannot start refunding for cases where the android version is not working, you still have access to all my other content.

How to install:

Installing is pretty straightforward:
- Go to the DROPBOX link above, download the file "Max the Elf ANDROID v4.11". You might get one of two different prompts.
- If Google play blocks the unsafe app: Click "More information -> Install anyway"
- If Samsung/your phone is refusing to install unknown apps: Go to settings for "install unknown apps" and look for the place where the app was downloaded (it's around 430 MB)
- Once the app is installed it should appear in your list of apps and you can launch it from there.

Useful tips:

- Clicking in the screen (not on UI buttons) counts as spacebar, so if you see "press spacebar" anywhere, try clicking on the screen somewhere.

Bugs and Issues we know of:

- Sometimes your phone might just say: installation failed. We think something on your phone must/might be blocking the installation somehow, it's gonna be some testing and hearing from you to learn more. Sorry if it happens!

- In the Gallery: If you press "Game-Over Art", the button disappears, but you can view the game over art when you click on an enemy. To switch back to animation mode: Click the area where the "game over art" button was to make it appear again.

- When finding Vick in level 3, or the mimic hoodie in level 4: You have to click either YES or NO with your finger, but the positioning is pretty tight and hard to hit sometimes, keep trying and you should get it!

- We're working on making sure the UI buttons will not be so visible during cutscenes, and during game-over events.
