Progress Report Week 5 (Patreon)

Sweet Affection 0.10.4

Only 4 days into the month, and I'm already seriously doubting if I'm able to deliver all the promised content, this month.

I've already been working on the February update for about 10 days now and I managed to finish all M&S their planned content.
All the art and all the writing is done.
So there is nothing wrong with that part of the update. :)

I also started working on Donna & Rose their new content.
I finished all the art for the Level-Up event and got started on Donna's level 4 content.

At this moment of writing, with about 40% of the art for the planned events done for this update. I'm already at a count of 1.467 Images and 7 animations in total.

My goal is to have all the art finished in about 6 days from now, and as it's looking right now, I'm estimating an update of between 2.750 - 3.000 images..... With likely close or over 100.000 words of dialogue...
(Meaning by far the biggest update I have ever made.)

So, I have to make a decision.
It's looking unlikely that I'll be able to write all of that in 3 weeks + create about 100 diary pages for Donna & Rose + Code & Test everything.
And also giving me enough time to make all the builds and upload them.
And I just want to be honest with you guys right away instead of giving you hope in the coming weeks.

Because scrapping content/events isn't an option for me.
I decided that I'm going to focus on making all the events in the 0.10.4 update.
And if needed, push back the diary pages + texts to the March Update.
I need a solid week to create those diary pages, but I also need to give my coder enough time to work on everything. (Something that I don't always keep in mind when I make a schedule for myself.)

I'm confident that I can deliver at least all the events this month.
Still making it the biggest update we ever created. :)
I'm just not sure I can do all the diary pages as well.
And I'm sorry for letting you guys down.

When I make a schedule/roadmap, sometimes the amount of work seems less than it actually is in reality.
And sometimes I forget that the side characters that I'm working on are  further in their story now.
Meaning more events, longer events and animations.

Maybe it's that I'm underestimating the amount of work or perhaps it's just because I want to give you guys as much content as possible.
All that I know now is that I need to work on doing this better in the future.
And I will try my best to do so.

If the diary pages are pushed back, we'll make sure that everyone is able to unlock all the diary pages without having to play all the events again.
