Hey all,

Quick update regarding the june release ! We're looking at a small delay but I'm still aiming for first half of the month.

As I stated on the release scope post, the first priority was critical bugfixes and during the bugfixing process (mainly regarding the save feature) I ended up refactoring a lot of the code base.

I wrote a big part of the codebase a while ago when this was just a side project, so part of it is not up to the standards I intend to uphold now. Furthermore, as features get added, some parts of the code may have not been originally intended to work in a specific way, so it can lead to workarounds to build up and that's why refactoring is needed.

Having a clean, generic codebase is essential for the healthy development of a software project so I think taking the time to do this is beneficial in the long run.

Keep in mind that I'm not using an actual game engine, so all the game related meta features (saving, scripting, settings, etc.) have to be hand made from scratch, so it's a bit of a learning process !

I have to come up with fitting data models, and those are also prone to evolve as stuff gets added to the game : characters, branching story lines, new apps, new types of media, etc.

However, it's still important to me to deliver the monthly release with new content as that's pretty much the only part that matters for the players !

Thus, I'm still working on the continuation of the story and some new artwork which is why this one is a bit delayed.

Moving forward, I might want to evaluate if I want to keep going on with the monthly schedule or switch to bimonthly (every other month) if I feel like the releases don't have enough new content individually.

Long story short, next update still planned for first half of june, and as always I'll keep trying to be as transparent as possible.
