So many reactors get so caught up in just doing the Kanyes and Drakes that people Like NoName and Saba get reacted to alot less when channels get big

Hell yeah quake is nice. Cool that you did this album. If you enjoyed this you might like 'Brick Body Kids Still Daydream' by Open Mike Eagle. It is also fairly short.

Quake 3 LAN party.. the kids will never understand. So happy you did this reaction. Noname comes from the DOOM school of playful writing. Full of eloquent, visual non-sequiturs. Reminds me of Earl Sweatshirt, Mac Miller, Joey Badass. Smooth flow too. I've always thought of this album as a wind-up music box. Beautiful, playful instrumentation. Sonically cohesive with no skips. Every track has an ear-worm melody. Perfect vibe for golden hour on a warm day.

So happy you reacted to this, one of my favourites of all time. Shadow Man is in my top 10 songs of all time. Now you have to react to more Smino and Saba

Nice! Was not expecting a Noname reaction! This was great to see/hear you peel apart. I know you feel like you get caught up on deciphering the lyrics too much, but honestly, that's one of my favorite things about your videos. Too many reaction videos online are just people saying, "Wow, that's awesome" without ever trying to actually digest the art.

Really great reaction, definitely one of my favorite hip hop albums. Bye Bye Baby is really a track you should go back to and read through again. The two verses are actually being spoken from two different perspectives. Verse one being the mother's perspective and the second verse being from the perspective of the aborted child. I find that song to be extremely vulnerable and beautiful, easily one of my favorites off the album.

Bob would love Open Mike Eagle so much, but I'm not sure he has enough fans here to really get Bob's attention.

Now that you did Noname, Saba - Care for me, Chance The Rapper - Acid Rap & Mick Jenkins - Water(s) are a must! Great reaction!

This album is pretty great and so is Noname and if you're wondering hey why is nobody talking about her in rap circles you have to know that she has that Kanye-like mindset of self sabotage. Noname is pretty controversial for some people and has had some absurd takes on things that really sour her music for a large part of rap fans. The big conversation about separating art and artist applies to her for a lot of people. On one hand her charity "Noname Book Club" has done amazing things but on the other her burning bridges with a lot of people, having political opinions a lot of people disagree with and her refusal to play for white audiences really kills her momentum in the mainstream.

You have entered the Chicago rap scene. I totally recommend Mick Jenkins -The Waters and Saba- The Bucket List. Both amazing albums.

And I mean, the country is 75% white, just doesn't seem thought out though I understand her sentiment. But it just doesn't make any sense. I haven't heard any follow up since she said this a couple years ago, but her music is good so that's all I need from her.

That was wild, I only didn't heart 2 songs. Unreal.

bobthepoppop

I want to keep exploring. The popular stuff is important from a views perspective, but I'm a lot more interested in quality music.

bobthepoppop

I appreciate it (and glad you enjoy it too). I getting a little suspicious of those who just dance around and say "Oh great!" every song. A little too sus >.>

I saw some chatter about this on Discord today. It's too bad, but at the same time... I'm big into free speech. But, it's unfortunate some artists do seem to have an interest in disliking their own fans.

John

Yea Those artists make great albums....Drake Take Care and Drake Nothing was the same are must dos and if u like them explore his catalog but alot of reactors loose passion and only end up making videos when Kendrick j Cole or Kendrick or some other similar tier artist drops stuff that's all I was trying to say. They usually forget about these smaller artists because the views may not be crazy crazy.

Diego Pumarino

I love this album and I'm happy that you did this, enjoyed the reaction and appreciated her songwriting even more. Another female artist you should check is SZA and her album CTRL.

This was a new album for me. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Being introduced to some new music through this platform now. I knew of the album but hadn't taken the time on my own. As far as female artists go I recommend The Archandroid by Janelle Monae. It is a science fiction epic with a retro/future aesthetic.

I would love to see some Open Mike Eagle but I do agree, I've never met anyone who's even heard of him, let alone a fan. I had Dark Comedy on repeat for like a whole year after it came out.
