Enjoying the outdoors in summer in Missouri is complicated (not pictured are the copious chiggers, ticks and mosquitoes).
Still, it beats lockdown.

Hope you're all hanging in there!

Just trying to regain my footing with the comic art here. Been frazzled and working on less ideal hardware this month, but a refurbished Mobile Studio arrived today, so I'll hopefully be up and running more smoothly with that shortly.

Racoon racketeering

ThirdKind

... dammit Rocky

Ryebread

Oh man, can't wait for those raccoons to become regular characters (just kidding, maybe)

Ahahaha aww now THAT’S a cat face on Freckle hiding in the grass! And good luck with the new Mobile Studio, hope that will indeed make things a bit smoother for you, so you don’t burn yourself out! (possibly literally, in case of battery explosion)

Also, the contrast here is great - love how it starts with a soft, warm, and serene atmosphere with the first panels of Freckle (soundtrack: what a wonderful world)... only to be broken by a screeching critter emerging from muddy depths, bringing with him the cold and relentless buzzing bite of reality

Oh my gosh I'm crying laughing, I don't know how but your comics never fail to get me to actually laugh. This one though... XD I have a friend off patreon who lives in Missouri and would get a laugh out of this. Will this comic eventually be posted publicly? (I'm not gonna send it to him until its publicly available, obviously)

Hehe - I'm glad you enjoyed it! I will post it publicly, probably at the start of August. I just wanted Patrons to have a first look. =)

This is so amazing! I'm glad we got the early release! Freckle's swimmin outfit is so adorable.

Classical Salamander

Oh yeah... he owes them *all* the money! :D I spent four years (1987-1990) just south of KC KS near the Misery border... I still have nightmares about the chiggers and ticks... there just something devilish about a critter that burrows into you. :(

Just another day of stragegically instilling various phobias in your young cousin's developing mind. Today's installment: a crippling fear of midwestern wetlands!

HunnyBudders

I love the little snapper the most hanging on Rocky's ear the whole time lol
