July Update (Patreon)

Whew, it has been a busy couple of weeks since the last release. I have been training for a new day job, I built a new computer, and I have been working on a fairly large pose pack! 

Speaking of the pose pack, it will be finished tonight or tomorrow and will be another CUTE poses pack! For this entry of the cute poses, I have gone back and reworked many of the old poses from CUTE 1&2 and added many variations, along with a handful of brand new poses. I think Koi users, in particular, will really appreciate this pack, because they have never had a CUTE pose pack release so far and will be getting what is essentially three packs rolled into one!

Now, this concludes the relevant portion of the update. The following relates to my decision to build a new PC. Needless to say, part of my decision to upgrade is thanks to your continued patronage and visitation to this Patreon, but it was also motivated by the fact that my old PC literally could not run graphics mod, runs HS2 DHH at 25FPS, and was starting to blue screen a lot. 

I went for a midrange build: Intel i5 12600K with a Noctua cooler, Msi Z690 Pro Motherboard, and an RTX3080 10gb, 32gb DDR4 3000mhz (from previous computer). I managed to buy the GPU, used, for only $600 and sniped a Amazon warehouse deal on the motherboard @ $150. The mobo was so cheap because the box was DEMOLISHED. However, the board is built like a literal slab of solid marble, so its totally fine. The GPU was purchased on facebook from someone who, like many other sellers of 3080s at the moment, has finally managed to purchase a new 3090. 

If you are also thinking about upgrading, I genuinely think that now is a good time due to the crypto-induced GPU price crash and the fact that the Nvidia 4 series 80, 70 and 60 cards will likely be a year or more away in terms of actual availability at MSRP. With this setup I can finally run HS2 studio smoothly (80-100FPS), and VR with HS1 studio no longer gives low fps headaches. 

On a side note, I have been playing the FF7 remake and it is quickly becoming one of my favorite games of all time. The cinematography of the cutscenes and the mocap/voice performances of the characters are on a whole different level. Also, the battle effects and animations are insane!
