Hi studio family, if you have been madly downloading all of my poses and the poses of other pose makers, you have probably reached a point where trying to find the pose that you are looking for is becoming difficult.

If you have a moment to open a your studio, I would like to teach you a MUCH better tool for saving, tagging, and sorting your favorite poses than the studio's vanilla menus. You will need Keitaro's VNGE, which comes with ScrewThisNoise's BetterRepack. You can also pick up VNGE here if you do not use the better repack. The following method applies to HS1, HS2, and Koikatsu.

You may have noticed the VNGE button on the side, you will need to open that first:

There are many incredibly powerful tools built in, but the one that we are interested in for saving and sorting poses is Scene Save State:

Load a scene with a character in it, open SSS. Your are now ready to start curating your poses. If you have not already used this, then it will be like discovering fire, believe me, you will love it :P

  • Select your character from the studio workspace window on the right
  • Load the pose that you want to save to SSS the old fashioned way (Anim>Kinematics>Pose>FRL-Cute2 in this case)
  • Open the "POSE LIBRARY" tab of SSS:

For larger image please see images slide reel above

  • Go to the "Save Screen" subtab
  • Enter a name for the pose
  • Enter tags associated with the pose which will be used in sorting. For the example below, I have typed in "Freelancer604, stand, Fav" this means I can find this pose in the future if I want to sort my poses to see just those made by Freelancer604, or if I just want to see standing poses, or just my Favorite poses, or any combination of those tags. "Groups" is another sorting layer but each pose can only belong to one group at a time. You can just leave it blank.
  • Click Save. The pose is now saved in SSS!

You can repeat this process for all the poses that you wish to use in the future and create an easily sortable library.

To load saved poses, go to the "load screen" subtab. To filter, just click on the tags that you want. For example if you need a standing pose made by Freelancer604 for your scene, just click on the Standing and Freelancer604 tags to only see the standing poses made by Freelancer604 from your library!

Another advantage of SSS is that you can swap poses with a single click of the pose name, super convenient! If you look at the bottom of the SSS window, you will notice that there are also pose libraries specific to Left hand, Right hand, and Faces for saving hand gestures and expressions.

Keitaro has given you fire, I have shown you how to use it, now go burn down the discord with your many studio works!

If you like VNGE, please consider supporting Keitaro so that he can keep working on this awesome mod.
