A Return to Form (Patreon)

Hey guys!

So the past 7 weeks I have been super absent from making videos, or any type of content for that matter. I wanted to just take a minute to let you all know what’s been going on. Between all the chaos surrounding Covid-19, trying to make the board game (Schism) a reality, and a myriad of personal issues, I have had so little time to concentrate on YouTube and my monsters. Time management aside though, I’ve also just been in a real creative funk lately and stepping back was the only thing I could really do to try and manage it as best as I could. I’m really sorry for letting you guys down, I should have communicated all of this better. I had considered calling it quits entirely, but I know I definitely don’t want that, because I do truly love what I do and I want to keep on doing it. To sum it all up though, I am in a much better headspace now and I really want to get back into making videos and researching awesome D&D monsters. Starting this week, I’ll be back at it with a renewed creative drive. I hope to see you all there, and I promise that if anything like this ever happens again I’ll be much more forthcoming about the details surrounding what’s up.

I want to take a second to mention all of you lovely patrons as well. You guys did not have to stick around through my absence, and you did. That seriously makes me feel so appreciated and loved, so thank you. For the time being, I’ve placed my Patroen payments on hold. You probably all noticed that you haven’t been charged for July, and you won’t be charged for August either. I know you’re all here because you support me, but it feels wrong to accept money from anyone for a service that I just wasn’t providing. It’s a two way street and I shirked my end of the deal for a couple months so I think it’s only right that we just pick things back up as normal in September. Of course the patreon will still be active and I’ll be posting all the stuff I usually do, just don’t be surprised when the money doesn’t get taken at the beginning of August. Love you guys.

The final thing I want to address is Discord. I have been so terrible at being around on the community channel. It’s been 1 part time constraints and maybe 3 parts imposter syndrome. I don’t really have a lot to say about it, but going forward I’m going to make a big effort to engage with Discord a lot more and do my best to actually be available. You guys seriously rule, and an extra big shout out to the mods on the channel for managing things and answering questions in my absence.
