Hmmm. I still like Tilly, and this is a nice story, but I tend to feel the sacrifice is more meaningful and intense if there isn't a magical means of restoring the prey.

I agree, and at this point, i’m hoping maybe this is all leading up to just that. A moment of the main character finally being either tricked or defeated into a no-revival permanent digestion that I think might be an optimal finish. Even if not though, it’s still a great comic. :)

This is a fairly big and incompatible split in people who like my stuff, so I alternate. But, in order to do a series with a consistent character, I need some way of bringing 'em back.

A technique around this could be clones - each one is unique/independent, and for them sacrifice would be final.
