If you don't follow me on Twitter, or missed my community post on YouTube, my local school board closed my kids school.

So update: We found out the member who brought forth the motion to shut down our school has a wife who teaches at the other school that was on the chopping block. The school board policy states as such: Copied from their website - no Board member shall engage in or have a financial interest, directly or indirectly, in any activity that conflicts or raises a reasonable question of conflict with his/her duties and responsibilities in the school system and as a public officer Policy: C. no Board member shall engage in or have a financial interest, directly or indirectly, in any activity that conflicts or raises a reasonable question of conflict with his/her duties and responsibilities in the school system and as a public officer; D. when a member of the Board determines that the possibility of such a personal or financial interest conflict exists, s/he should, prior to the matter being considered, disclose his/her interest (such disclosure shall become a matter of record in the minutes of the Board), and thereafter shall abstain from participation in both the discussion of the matter and the vote thereon. In the event that the potential conflict involves a program or activity in whole or in part financed through Federal grant funds, the potential conflict of interest must be disclosed to the Federal granting agency consistent with the requirements of the particular granting agency. 😕 So my wife and I contacted our local paper, the reporter who interviewed me last time emailed me back and is looking into this possible conflict of interest. Like I said, they maybe got rid of a school, but they gained two pains in the butt!

Oh wow! So did that member vote on the decision then? Because surely if they did and evidence is brought forward it could be deemed invalid. 🤔I hope something comes of this with the reporters involvement and everything can be resolved Bryan🙏 Thanks for sharing the update here. Just FYI though if you want other patreon to see the update maybe make it a new post. I dont know if I patreon should have sent a notification to me but I only saw this as I clicked back on the comments here.
