Update to update:  It appears Youtube has filed a counter notice on my behalf. The strike isn't gone yet, but since I didn't file that...I assume it's a process on their end they're going to remove it for me? It's weird, but I'm hopeful.

----

I've been meaning to update Patreon with non-paid posts a bit more often, and while this is a highly unfortunate situation it does give me good reason to do so.

So by now those of you in tune to gaming news may have heard of Alex Mauer's false DMCA strikes against all Youtube and Twitch videos of Starr Mazer DSP.

Long story short, a musician decided to attempt to extort their former boss by attacking youtubers instead, and it just so happened that I covered the game in a live stream last year. As a result I have my first Copyright Strike in 7 years on Youtube, after over 1500 videos, and since it was a live stream my ability to live stream has been hindered.

For now you can find me on Twitch for live streams in case this isn't resolved as quickly as I hope: https://www.twitch.tv/sirtaptap

The Alex Mauer situation has progressed very quickly and it seems likely she'll be forced to do something or Youtube will mass rescind the claims (Totalbiscuit is talking with contacts at Youtube Gaming). Hopefully I'll be back soon, I'll post an update on Youtube whenever it is. But for now, Streams may be on Twitch again, so follow there if you'd like to catch them.

Info Dump

Most of what I have to say on the matter is in this video I recorded yesterday:

If you don't trust me, here's a Laywer's take on the issue (we do not particularly diverge much in our thoughts on the matter): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuSZ6wZAaHQ&feature=youtu.be

Early Access coming soon!

In more pleasant news, $5 Members should be receiving an email/post very soon with early access to a new series on a game! A very, very strange and amusing game called Everything's Going To Be Okay.
