New Atha was basically sandwiched between two other nations, Rechuyland the ice land to the north that was filled with Nordic culture and to live there was a constant fight for survival. And Echesh which was to the East and South of New Atha and separated by a massive mountain range that was filled with all kinda of horrors, and on the Echesh side was a large dessert that was also filled with kooky shit that stopped either nation from invading the other.

Though Draygro was the racial homeland of Dragonkin like Drakia and myself. So maybe I should brave the oceans to pass over there to find out more about my new race and how to get the most out of my bloodline seeing as Drakia had a very different bloodline than myself.

"Have you picked up any hobbies during your time in the church then?" I asked.

Drakia smiled at my simple question and she hummed before speaking softly. "I am a Starlight dragonkin, and so my race is best during the night time. So while in the church I had the habit and rather enjoyed reading books about the world under the moon's light as I can see. As well as though it was noon, so long as the moon isn't covered by the clouds anyway."

Then she added on. "And you Jake Barriss, what was your previous world like? Was it better than this one?" She asked with obvious interest and I hummed in thought to the question as I leaned back into the cheap couch I had bought to furnish this apartment.

After a moment of thinking on her question, I answered seriously. "My world... Was boring honestly, no magic, monsters, or other races than humanity. The only true evil on my world was the evil within the hearts of each human." I spoke and for a long moment, Drakia was silent.

Rose audibly choked at the blunt way that Drakia sold her up the river. But Drakia wasn't done as she said flatly. "I worship the Light Goddess with my very soul... But she has some deviant things going on in her head."

I clapped my hands and spoke with a wry smile as I couldn't help looking back into my memory of how my alternate back when I was getting reincarnated, treated the goddess like trash. "Alrighty Drakia. Rose, is food ready?" I asked trying to suppress the previous discussion and Rose nodded with relief at my obvious dismissal of the previous tangent.

So we moved on to eating the pretty good pasta that Rose cooked up in the last half an hour and I had a thought that wouldn't leave my mind so I spoke. "So... Rose, Drakia, I got an important question," I spoke as I finished my bite and the girls paused as I continued. "So beyond the Demon King, and the Orc Warlord... Why else did Queen Tilda summon me?" I asked frankly.

Sure those two entities were going to be important to defeat if 'peace' were to be brought to this continent aside from the antics of the other nations coming to this continent. But I was well aware that beyond the Demons and Orcs, there were plenty of monsters, dungeons, and the other two neighboring nations that could bring issues.

Rose and Drakia shared a look before visibly chewing on their thoughts until Rose sighed and said weakly. "Jake, Queen Tilda wishes to use you. A summoned 'hero' and the very event of the Orc and Demon Lord invasion as a springboard to bring the neighboring nations back into the fold and reinstate the true Atha Empire rather than remaining merely the kingdom of New Atha." She said and I froze as that information hit my ears.

'So she still wants to conquer the surrounding nations despite the crazy monsters and other issues separating New Atha from the other nations.' I thought with a frown as honestly... Invading either nation sounded like a major pain in the ass.

To invade Rechuyland, was to attempt to invade northern Siberia, with giant polar bears, ice dragon's ice giants, and other terrors including the very nation itself under the control of the ice queen which would pelt you with the worst of its weather under her guidance.

And Ecesh was no different, as to invade from New Atha would involve going through a massive mountain range filled with monsters, then passing through the desert of Ecesh which was also filled with undead, earth, and storm elementals, other desert monsters like dragon-sized scorpions. And of course the high population of fairly powerful lizardkin, powerful wizards, and other researchers that called Ecesh home.

"So... She wants me to help her become the new empress of the continent basically," I said thinking deeply and unbidden I was reminded about that ninja girl who had saved me from the self-destructing harpy queen. And it was very likely that she was watching me even now.

I nodded and said evenly. "That won't be for a long while yet. For now, I need to just focus on increasing my strength in any case." I said with finality and both girls nodded with Drakia saying we should go to the guild tomorrow to get herself and Rose registered so they could begin leveling up properly.

But as I agreed to her words my lips twitched as I said wryly. "Drakia... What weapon do you use and where is it?"

To which Drakia replied gracefully. "Ah, all I have to my name is the clothes upon my back, and the bond my share my lord... But I prefer to use a spear."

I facepalmed at hearing my supposed partner had zero gear, but thankfully it gave me an excuse to finally use the smithing knowledge I got from the reincarnation anyway.
