With Eta and her own cabal of amoral scientists working alongside Scathach, Skadi, and Hecate. They were making fast progress in the production of the runic portal that would act as the stable gateway using the Black Rose to get to the mortal section of Mundus in Nirn.

So basically everyone was busy doing their own thing as Alpha and Beta were themselves busy entertaining the princesses of Midgar in Alexis and Alexia who had come under the direction the king who was purging the capital of the nobles who were attached to the Cult of Diabolos.

I myself was keeping busy meeting with our newest... And problematic guests as vampires regardless of if they were daywalkers or not. Hated being awake during the hours of sunlight.

But whereas Elizabeth was an adorable loli vampire who was quiet and enjoyed reading. Serana was definitely a bit more social and her antics had rubbed some of the more... Devoute/zealous members of Shadow Garden in a bad way. Like her fuck up in mouthing off to Victoria who threw her through four and a half walls when Seranna asked how good I was in bed with how much she was verbally sucking me off.

No one in Shadow Garden even Alpha and Delta would fight Victoria in a straight fight as the young woman had 'All' of the blessings at full power from all the gods within myself and worked herself to the bone... And more to prove herself to be the best in Shadow Garden.

Either way, even if Serana was a sarcastic ass at times she definitely knew the Elder Scrolls magic system extremely well and she didn't hide anything as she faithfully taught us the magic of the coming land smashing into ours. "Magic, also known as the Clever Craft by mortals, is the art or ability to alter or control the reality of the world. Through the manipulation of the energy of magicka, mana or other forms of energy like Dwarves who learned how to use steam to perform magic alongside their tonal magic. Each method expresses the various schools of magic differently. But inherently magic is the transmutation of magicka into a physical force which manifests in the physical world." She began and then as we asked a couple of questions.

She then got into the meaty side of things and began explaining the various schools of magic after explaining a couple different myths as to how magic in Nirn came to be.

The School of Alteration spells alter the physical and magical properties of the target. Alteration spells harm the target by making the objects it is carrying heavier and augments the target by making the objects it is carrying lighter, granting it elemental and physical shields and the ability to breathe water and walk upon its surface as well as open 'locks' are some examples.

The School of Conjuration spells call upon otherworldly entities through telepathy, certain skilled Conjuration mages can develop telepathic links with each other. Conjuration spells augment the caster by granting them Daedric and Undead guardians, Daedric weapons and armor, and the ability to repel the undead and banish Daedra.

The School of Destruction spells harm the target by damaging its health with either elemental or magical attacks, draining and damaging its attributes, skills, health, magic, and fatigue, making it weak to the elements, poisons, and magic, and corroding its armor and weapons.

Enchanting is the act of endowing objects with magical properties through the use of various ingredients and tools

The School of Illusion spells affect a sentient target's mind. Illusion spells harm the target by commanding, demoralizing, paralyzing, silencing, and causing it to frenzy. As well as augmenting it by rallying, charming, calming it, granting it invisibility, night-vision, translucency, and illuminating it. Just generally the control over other living beings

The School of Mysticism is a highly obscure school, though its spells seem to manipulate magicka itself. Due to its spells that bind the target's soul, this school is closely related to necromancy. Mysticism spells augment the target by granting it the ability to detect life, reflect damage, absorb and reflect spells as well as harm it by dispelling its magical effects and trapping its soul, including the ability to move objects through space with telekinesis.

The School of Restoration spells augment the target by restoring its health, attributes, stamina, and magicka, fortifying its health, attributes, skills, stamina, and magicka, and granting it resistance to status effects

The School of Thaumaturgy does not change the appearance or structure of a force or object, but can manipulate laws temporarily. Such as teleportation, levitation, and several other effects that are basically granting the target special abilities or forcing a status upon them.

She cleared her throat after the long explanation and I couldn't help but cut in with a question of my own. "What about the Thu'um, Kiai, Fleshcrafting and Alchemy?" I asked and Serana visibly took a breath as her glowing eyes fell on me and after a moment she spoke.

"They are the main schools of magic as just about anyone with any amount of magical talent can learn with those schools. But other schools either require extremely specialized training with thousands of people dead to make a master... Or in the case of the Kiai or Thu'um being semi-divine reality manipulation. Only those with specialized souls can withstand the strain the magic can put on their souls to say nothing of their mind and body." She finished with some distaste as she then highlighted flesh crafting and blood magic as being a magic that had a taint to it, that would stain the user's souls with repeated use.

Serana clapped her hands together making the large classroom of Shadow Garden members on break look up from the notes we were taking. "Now in the main classes of magic I am at least an Expert tier mage, if not Master tier in magic but as I said before... Divine intent and reality manipulation will almost always triumph over mortal magic. In either case, I will now be explaining the structure of mages in Nirn."

She then highlighted the levels and general skill levels why making it quite clear that although our physical abilities were insane. She herself as a native of this world was acclimating and her own magic was becoming far more powerful.

The ranks of mages regardless of the type or school of magic typically went along the lines of. Novice, Apprentice, Adept, Expert, and finally Master. "Now, that I have taught you the basics, I will give you all something to chew on, I will be teaching you all how to use the ice wind spell, as well as the drain life spell... As I cannot teach Restoration as its anathema to vampires and will literally poison me with the holy light." She finished and then got to teaching the two spells to the Shadow Garden members who wanted to learn alongside myself.

Enjoy the info dump. As the MC will be using Elder Scrolls magic a good bit as his divine blessings put a a lot of strain on his mortal body
