I only cut off the flames when the spider's exoskeleton stopped popping, and I realized that as even as the forest's ground around me burned. I was immune to the heat, and the smoke filling the air around me.

This was pretty good news honestly as being immune to the flames I conjured opened a lot of different avenues for me to use, but either way with the spider... As dead as it comes, and the voice of the world not making any other noise, I moved on.

Thankfully though it seemed my flames burned so hot that it more or less burnt out its materials completely, without leaving much to smolder so once my flames were gone, the more natural flames didn't look like it was going to spread into a wildfire or something. Allowing me to continue on without worry of possibly burning down the Jura Forest I was within.

I just continued walking towards the lake in the distance, until I actually ran into what I hoped to find... "Wow... Goblins really are shit at the building." I muttered with my face twitching at the sight of the large clearing that had the very beginnings of the future Jura Empire. Being, it was literally a bunch of mudhouses and tents made out of patchwork of pelts from animals.

"Maybe its best to help when they just get started though?" I continued... And my shoulders sagged as I was well aware I was going to be going without modern amenities for a good bit.

I walked over and shouts rang out as goblins of all shapes and sizes ran around with wooden spears and other things while I noticed a couple run into a nicer looking mud house hopefully to get Rimuru. The would-be protagonist of this world.

"Hello!" I called out while holding my hands out in surrender. "I mean you all no harm, I just need to ask for some directions and maybe I can work for some food for a couple days." I called out and the goblins seemingly relaxed a bit at my non-confrontational tone.

Then a weird 'boing' noise kept repeating and I realized it was the weird anime sound effect when overly large breasts were bouncing around the anime wanted to make you focus on those even more. And those thoughts were cut off as the would-be protagonist came into view.

Rimuru Tempest, the bullshit slime. They were bouncing their way over to me, and when they got closer I heard a... Honestly, even in the anime, Rimuru spoke in an androgynous tone of voice that didn't make their gender clear without you having foreknowledge of it being a dude in their previous life. "Hello human, is there something you needed?" He asked leadingly.

I just stared at the slime before I nodded with a wry smile as I realized a perfect opportunity was before me. "Yeah, I just got isekaied here and the voice of the world told me there was another reincarnator over here, after giving me a cheat skill." I explained and the micro jiggles of Rimuru's slime form went completely still as they were seemingly processing this knowledge.

There was a moment of silence before a goblin finally spoke up. "Uhm, so are you a traveler or not?" The goblin asked pointedly.

The question seemed to shake Rimuru's head out of whatever lock it was in as he was probably questioning his Great Sage skill, but either way I swiftly answered. "Its... Complicated, I was given a direction and told there was a reincarnator in that direction but I didn't know how far they were." I finished with a wry smile and then I could see Rimuru's slime form just jiggle with so much emotion that I could clearly see the shrug for what it was.

"Eh, you don't plan to harm the people here or myself do you?" He asked simply and I shook my head stating I had no interest in harming people.

"I literally got the Truck-Kun experience. I just want to get my feet underneath me, maybe have a freakout in private. I don't know..." I shook my head before refocusing on Rimuru as I spoke up. "I am willing to join your community and contribute to it though while I am here," I said honestly.

And I could basically see the gears turning in Rimuru's head, they wanted some contact with their previous world, and although they were nervous of the supposed cheat skill that I got as a reincarnator, they were willing to let me work here a bit before I made my way elsewhere. Though I didn't really plan on just leaving to be honest.

Rimuru would be a potent helper for my ascension through the Sequences I had as a Red Priest, and of course, I would in turn help them as much as I could.

"Well..." Rimuru started before a blue slime thumbs-up appeared on top of their head making my lips twitch as he continued. "Welcome to the Goblin Village then!"

And that was that. The goblins put down their pitchforks and I was welcomed into the village but as I looked around I realized very quickly that I was inserted very fucking early into the world as I didn't see any of the Majin wolves at all that Rimuru would subjugate. "So... You alright as a slime?" I asked after a bit as Rimuru led me into the nicer mud house and I saw there was a wooden platform with a pile of reeds that probably acted as his bed.

Rimuru once again basically shrugged as he responded. "It's alright, it certainly has its perks though I certainly wouldn't say no to a human body again... Anyway haha!" They said loudly before pin-pointing me with a slime finger. "So what can you do, to contribute to the village?" He asked.

For a moment I considered what I should share, should I share what I could do. But then I remembered Rimuru's power level at the end of the series in how they became some kind of Outer God-level figure and were capable of insane feats that few anime protags could do. So I decided to be somewhat honest. "I was given a sort of job system thing as a cheat, right now all I can do is make potions, rituals to gather large amounts of mana that I cannot really use myself, traps, and some pyrokinesis," I explained briefly before adding on. "Later on, the system opens up more with me getting more abilities but..." I shrugged and they nodded in understanding.

Only if I stayed would it make a difference, and in that, I could already see Rimuru considering me an important possible investment as they began questioning me about the ritual sites I could create and whether other people could use the stored mana within.
