There was probably a solid couple hundred or so prospective student's here all lined up on the edge of the cliff waiting for Ozpin and Professor Goodwitch to speak.

Ozpin stared at us all as he stood stoically with his cane in hand while Glynda Goodwitch looked at towards us with something akin to almost pity as she was holding onto a large Scroll in tablet form against her chest.

"For years you all have trained to become the greatest warriors to walk Remnant's lands... Today that training will be put to the ultimate test here in the Emerald Forest." Ozpin said dramatically before he gave way to Miss Goodwitch.

"Now I am sure you all have been hearing rumors as to how teams will be assigned and to put an end to your confusion I shall explain. You all shall have your teammates by today." She said as though it wasn't common sense honestly.

"These teammates will be with you for the remainder of your time here at Beacon academy... You will live with them, fight with them, and possibly even die with them." Ozpin cut in with his eyes closed obviously in deep thought. But the man smiled after taking a drink out of his coffee mug. "Oh, and by the way, the first person you make eye contact with once the initiation starts will be your partner for the next four years..."

I could hear the complete mental breakdown as Ruby became overcome with anxiety at the thought of being stuck with some random person for her entire time here at Beacon with her loud "What!"

"Now you must make your way to the northern part of the forest in order to gather a relic, the relic will also determine what team you and your partner will become part of. You will meet opposition on the way. Do not hesitate to destroy all that comes in your path... Otherwise you will die as there is no safety nets in this initiation." Ozpin said ominously.

"Although the staff will be monitoring you for grading purposes, we will be doing it from cameras scattered throughout the forest and should you be in a dire situation. Know that you are alone and only your strength can safe you." Ozpin explained cheerily.

Welp Jeanne looks about ready to collapse on her launch pad. She was visibly shivering and neither Ozpin nor Glynda seemed to care as Ozpin went onto explain how each duo needed to grab a relic and bring it back to the top of this very cliff in order to qualify for Beacon."

With a clap of Ozpins hands all of us were violently launched into the air as Glynda used a single finger to seemingly launch all the prospective students at once.

With how I was being launched violently in the air with my Aura fully activated instinctively I could feel something seemingly connecting me to the world around me and wherever I looked and thought of I could feel a sort of mental gap between me and that thing.

With how I was easily able to control my flight through a combination of wind to guide myself and fire to propel myself, I decided to try and pinch that gap between me and the ground and the moment I did a large portal opened in front of my body and I was slammed into the ground violently with all my prior momentum.

"Ughhh..." I groaned stunned as all my air had been knocked out and thankfully my Aura seemed to have negated all the damage from the fall minus me seeing some stars from being unable to breath for a couple moments.

"Growl!" I could already hear the surrounding 'wildlife' coming to check out the crashing noise I made and just as I thought a half dozen Beowulf's, large bipedal werewolf shaped monsters in the typical Grimm colors broke past the bushes that obscured me from their view and seeing a helpless human on the ground they howled and dashed towards me to tear me apart.

My sword flew off from the scabbard I had it in at my waist and nailed one of the Beowulf's straight through its mouth and with nary a thought it violently wrenched its blade out of the side of the monster's head and spun around to attack another one.

The Beewolves although rather mobile and quick on their feet were no match for the speeds that 2B and A2 could get to in spars so I was easily able to smash them with some large earthen hands that shook the surrounding area as some of the surrounding trees fell with all the ground being shifted.

"Well shit!" I cursed seeing a two story armored gorilla screaming as it leaped a couple dozen meters into the air, I had apparently disturbed its sleep and as it came down in with both of its armored fists to smash me into paste, I took out a coin I brought from my bunker and a loud roar that spread throughout the forest, the coin was blasted out at supersonic speeds as I used a solid half of all my magic to shoot the coin like a railgun with a combination of my magnetism and lightning magic.

The Beringel Grimm didnt even fall to the ground as the coin's shockwave of energy destroyed its head making the Grimm explode into ashes.

Even as more Beowulf's and a couple Ursa's came running at me, I realized something extremely important about fighting Grimm here in Remnant.

I needed to pick my battles. The more noise I made, the more Grimm came, and the cycle would continue, and I would certainly be overwhelmed.

With a snort I kicked the head off of one of the little Creeps, a Grimm that was just a head on a set of legs basically and dashed away from my prior battlefield as I attempted to make head north towards the relics.

I also realized that studying here at Beacon was a smart idea as I would have backup to get my Grimm essence in order to strengthen my Guardian. Whereas if I was just wandering outside Vale I could literally be swarmed and die as I couldn't teleport without leaving the world itself and I doubt wherever I ended up would have such a convenient method to strengthen my Guardian and combat skills.

After a couple minutes of dashing through the large tree's I saw a flash of a white that broke the endless brown and green forest view and as the person heard my running, they turned towards me, and our eyes met.
