[Are you bored of life?]

Looking at the pop-up that got me killed in League of Legends with my friends on Discord screaming at me. I could only tell them that I had a pop-up virus that had covered my screen even as I hurriedly clicked the X to get rid of it.

[Don't you want to gain infinite power? Conquer worlds, the most beautiful of women, and live eternally?]

"I want you to suck my nuts! Get off my fucking screen." I cursed as I muted my mic and brushed my hand across my face as I closed my computer to reroll it back a couple of weeks.

As I had a sinking suspicion that maybe the mods I downloaded for one of my games... Wasn't exactly as clean as the site said it was.

A loud vibrating noise rang out and I choked as I saw my computer screens scrambling themselves and then I heard a loud cracking inside my computer case with my eyes shooting over to it only for my mouth to fall open in wide-eyed terror.

As my 4090 was split in fucking half as it laid in my case.

Then just as I was about to slap myself as this was clearly just a terrible fucking dream. A rumble rang out in front of me and my eyes snapped forward to my screen which it was filled with scrambled flickering pixels but in the center was another text box.

[You are going to die of an aneurysm due to the League of Legends game after your Yasuo hits its 0/10 power spike and fails to use the resulting boost. Reincarnation incoming!]

"Fuck-" I was about to curse at whatever asshole ruined my computer but a massive hand shot out of my computer screen and I was dragged into the screen with my vision instantly going dark as I felt something pop in my head while feeling what felt like molten lava being shoved into my chest.

The next thing I knew... I was lying on a cold hard surface.

And as I opened my eyes, I looked around. The room itself seemed to be a large circular room with several doors or something made out of stone inlaid into the walls.

But I was in the center of the very large room and a large light was beaming down at me... While a beachball-sized semi-transparent blue orb was hanging above my head.

I slowly and carefully got up as I realized that I had been isekaied... Isekaied when I hadn't even properly died yet actually.

And as I stood up, a soft clinging noise rang out and after furtively looking around to see if the doors opened I looked back at the blue orb and saw that it had a text box within it for me to read.

[Welcome Bariss23890123087954! To your very own Terror Infinity! Here you will be put through a gauntlet of quests and missions in worlds that may or may not be changed to scale the difficulty and danger level to your own power level.]

As I read it and processed the information as though understanding I had read all the information the text box changed again.

[Within yourself is the core of a Celestial Grimoire, but you will not be unlocking any of the perks items or anything randomly on your journey... No, you will earn the points during the mission worlds and you can just buy whoever, whatever item, or any perk or magic you want in between missions!]

'Ok... So for the first world, although it will be dangerous it should be manageable so I can collect the points needed to get myself some perks to have the ability to further defend myself.

Then the Text Box changed again.

[You may collect companions in the worlds you go to by holding their arm during departure, and when they come back to the hub world after their next mission world, they will also be able to buy copies of such perks, items, and powers. Important to be noted, that some worlds have ways to revive lost companions with various restrictions.]

I took a deep breath as the text box disappeared and the the blue sphere actually grew slightly making me step back as a whole interactive system showed itself to me which consisted of the shop, and mission worlds I was allowed to take.

Obviously curious about the shop I clicked on that first to take in its contents.

[Benovolence- Powers, items, and perks focused on healing, buffing, and making yourself and others stronger
[Destruction- Powers, items, and perks based on total offense and combat]
[Illusion- Changing of shape, mental changes, mental abilities. stealth, recon,]
[Control- Companions bought outside of mission worlds, animal companions,]
[Domain- Perks, and Items that include area effects, world alterations, rituals, vehicles]
[Magitek- High magical technology, the items themselves, and the knowledge of how to create them.]
[Making- knowledge on how to make items, and materials in question.]
[Divination- perks and items that control the absorption of information and how the user shares it.]
[Transformation- The changing on one's self. Race changes through potions, rituals, and perks]
[Lore- Tree's of knowledge in fields of magic, technology, and life skills. Also includes perks for learning and increasing talent.]
[Source- Sources of magical schools, all magical/supernatural powers have their base power within this source section]
[Modus- Specific perks, items, and effects that require you already have a source power]

Looking through the individual sections of perks, items, etc was... Fucking exhaustive to say the least, and I didn't have any points so that left me to look towards the misson world.

[Misson Worlds are graded on a scale of A-E with S being extreme in difficulty for your current level. Completing the base goal of a mission world will reward you 100 points for E-rank missions, and up to five hundred points for A-rank missions. Completing S rank missions or mission worlds, in general, will directly reward you with a perk/item that is tied to the theme of the mission]

Or more simply E=100, D=200, C=300, B=400 A=500

[Misson Worlds not only have their base mission- For example going to the world of Starship Troopers, depending on the mission world difficulty you will have different goals and possible modifiers to the world itself.
Rank E- Survive an incursion of the Arachnids.
Rank D- Stand beside the base soldiers to fight off the Arachnids.
Rank C- Survive and incursion with higher Tier Arachnids being more common.
Rank B- Survive as a Queen will guide the Arachnids with far greater precision.
Rank A- The planet is actually a hive world, survive for 1 hour by any means
Rank S- The Queen Arachnid is a potent psychic and will directly lead her seemingly endless army to you]

At my current 'power' level I only had access to lower difficulty/danger worlds but beyond that, I noticed that worlds also had subjective as well that I could do to earn points.

But looking away from that I looked at the current mission worlds I had available to me.

[World War Z 'book version' E - C ] [ Alien C - A ] [Predator B - A ] [Halloween D - B] [The Devil Below C - A] [ Friday the 13th D - B ] [Seven Days to Die C - S] [ Underworld C - S] [The Lost Boys C - A] [Jurassic Park C - S] [Deep Blue Sea E - B] [Hunger Games D - A] [Snow Piercer D - B] Highschool of the Dead D - B]

Looking through the list of movies, games, and anime worlds I was leaning toward a couple of the options, mostly in the slasher movies and the Highschool of the Dead anime. Especially if I can get points en-mass from High School of the Dead.

Killing zombies would be easy with the right tool and making sure I simply had a good spot to do it and not get overwhelmed.

On the other end, the slasher movies in Halloween, and Friday the 13 on the lower levels were technically the safest.

As killing Micheal Myers and Jason was just a matter of killing a psychopath who had some level of superhuman strength.

Though... That was just for the lower-level mission world variations.

[Highschool of the Dead D- Survive leaving the school and surviving the first three days
Rank C- Reach the Takagi Estate while following the cast.
Rank B- Reach the Takagi Estate while Dead Island Mutated Zombies are within the zombie hordes.]

I definitely wanted the funds after a mission to get myself some method of protecting myself. But... I needed to make sure I didn't fuck around and get myself killed after all.

"Alright, so I can't buy anything... So I am going to into these worlds with only the clothes on my back." I spoke to myself as I realized that cut off a couple of worlds.

Although a lot of the worlds could be solved through preparation like a slasher movie being defeated via me having a good old handgun. Other worlds gave me time to prepare myself to some extent.

So with that all in mind... I looked at Seven Days to Die as that was a game I was very familiar with, to say the least after having five hundred-plus hours on the game.

[Seven Days to Die C - S] [Rank C Survive leaving living in the world for 7 days with a horde coming on the seventh day to your position
Rank B- Survive 14 days and every seven days a horde of zombies with few mutations will come after you with increasing numbers and a small number of mutations
Rank A- Survive 21 days with higher numbers of mutated zombies.
Rank S- Survive 25 days with many zombies being heavily mutated along with all trader stations having much higher security.]

I looked at the S rank reward of S Days to Die and I was... Tempted to say the least.

[Physical Enhancement
Muscles a half dozen times as powerful, tossing people through walls, and running across rooftops.
A full-body reinforcement by the same factor, protecting you from your new strength, as well as making most enemy attacks into lighter punches through durability upgrades. Not completely ignorable, but you'll take a good beating without going down.
Enhancements to reflexes and makes body more acceptable to further upgrades.]

And after some thought. I decided that if I was going to go into a lethal world. I might as well go big with a strong foundation giving me the best possible future.

And if I died on my first jump... Then it was good I didn't have any companions to drag down with me.

"Seven Days to Die... S Rank difficulty." I spoke as I set the options and after getting a button asking for confirmation along with having it asking me and all companions which I didn't have to sign off on the world decision with our hand filling the large blue orb.

My vision was once again filled with bright light as I was teleported away.

Seems like an interesting read, the Grimoire makes zero sense when you are clearly using it as a Jumpchain doc though; it would make more sense if you just called it as it is: a Jumpchain.

always liked the concept behind Terror Infinity. Never really liked the fics that used it. None of them ever clicked right.
