The Red Priest and Blue Slime Chapter 38 (Patreon)

A scowl briefly crossed my face before I strode over and roughly opened up the door displaying the damned Dryad who literally gave me chemically driven blue balls.

The green-haired beauty gave a wry smile at my stormy expression and she spoke weakly. "Hello Jake, I see your meeting with King Gazel has gone well."

To which I retorted sharply. "Yes, such events typically go at least civilly, though it wasn't like we were going to spike their drinks with anything."

Treyni's face twitched at my words with her covering her face with some shame as she said weakly. "I didn't know the extra life force would affect a human like that. I apologize Jake honestly."

I sighed and threw my hands up leaving the door open for Treyni to come in as I turned around Rimuru made a noise as I picked her up and plopped her into my lap.

"So what is going on Treyni, you are normally busy watching over your fellow Dryads and protecting the forest from monsters that get too messy," I asked curiously.

Treyni gave me and Rimuru a nod before she spoke with some annoyance in her voice. "Some refugee monsters from a very far place came to the Jura Forrest, and I think that Rimuru needs to heal one of them if they are to have any hope of surviving."

I raised an eyebrow as Treyni... Wasn't this kind as she rather firmly believed in the law of the jungle for the less sentient monsters of the forest?

And my thoughts were correct as Treyni continued. "One of the two monsters is a bee monster with no name. Maybe if you are lucky you can help them and in turn they can help the Jura Republic begin mass-producing honey with the bee monster controlling her lesser brethren." 

"Oooh, I want some honey haha!" Rimuru laughed joyfully as she definitely had a bit of a sweet tooth.

And we didn't exactly have many methods of producing real sweets besides some maple syrup-like candies.

'Is these two supposed to be Zegion and Apito?' I mused before shrugging and speaking aloud. "I think it could be a good idea, I mean it doesn't cost us anything to do a good deed anyway." 

With that Rimuru bounced out of my lap and said. "Alright Treyni, you go ahead and lead me to these monsters as Jake needs to stay here in town to defend it."

It was the right move as well. Leaving the town with Gazel here as our guest would be a bad move as that would be rude to Gazel... And setting a bad precedent.

"Hmm you two be careful," I spoke as I stood up and followed the two out of the door and towards the edge of the town where Rimuru flew off as Treyni's form disappeared into the ground.

Meanwhile I after a moment of thought decided to go check in on Shion and Shuna.

I knocked on their shared house door and a couple of moments later I was welcome to the sight of Shion... Who was wearing a dress shirt that's front buttons were fightning a losing battle and what looked like nothing else.

"Oh my lord why have you come to visit me? Are you feeling hungry perhaps and wanted more of my cooking?" Shion asked excitedly.

I gave a wry smile at her excitement and shrugged. "I wouldn't say no to a little snack, but I wanted to just come spend some time with you and Shuna. Especially seeing as Souei is going to be busy tonight watching over our guests."

Shion happily let me in with her all but bouncing towards the back kitchen. And in all that bouncing I confirmed that yes... She actually had some white panties under that dress shirt even if she was running around without a bra.

'The reason Shion is so strong is simply because she would face plant if her back and shoulder muscles only had human strength.' I mused with some amusement before Shion spoke.

"The meeting with King Gazel went rather well. Though I am a bit angry along with Shuna that we couldn't find that elf thief who blew up your laboratory along with that clown." 

I gave a grunt of agreement and then spoke more firmly. "I am letting that incident pass Shion, having Gazel on our side is very important with all the new enemies that will inevitably come to realize the Jura Forrest has an actual force within it."

A force that wasn't a caged Veldora that could break out at some point and cause endless destruction... The leading people of the world are probably thinking that with Veldora dying and probably reforming a good chunk of the world is now up for grabs.

"Still... I want to give her a good punch for making you mad!" Shion spoke with a petulant whine as she turned around and my lips twitched at seeing how she already created a monstrous dish.

The eggs she quickly fried under some magical flames were purple with the yolks being dark rusted red with faces that were seemingly crying a dark rusty fluid. Once again... Shion's cooking gave birth to an eldritch abomination.

Shion gently put the plate in front of me and then I felt her hands massaging my shoulders as I carefully dug into Shion's monstrous food.

"So how is Shuna? Is she already in bed?" I asked between bites.

And after a moment Shion replied. "Yup, she was rather tired after the days events."

I gave a slight hum of acknowledgment and moved on to the topic of her training and how she was doing as of late.  With her likewise talking to me about some of the alchemy work I had been working on.

Our general light conversation continued on for a good while before Shion made a noise and I felt her pulling something out of my hair with her giggling and saying. "You had some ashes in your hair. Probably from your fight with Gazel earlier."

"Hmm, I should probably go to the bathhouse and get cleaned up before bed then." I muttered.

But I felt Shion's hand land back on my shoulder as she spoke excitedly. "Oh, you could also clean up here. Shuna has worked with the dwarves to make our water tank enchanted to keep it hot so we could always have hot water for Shuna's hobby of making dye for our clothes."

I gave a hum of thought before shrugging and saying. "Alright, I appreciate it, thank you Shion." As it would save me a good bit of time crossing back and forth from the bathhouse to my own house to collect my bathing supplies.

Plus its not like Shion was going to attack me in the bath...

I don't think she would attack me in the bath.

"Oh, Jake that's great! Well you know the way to the bath so go ahead, if you want I could wash your back and hair if you want!?" She offered excitedly.
