I was in deep thought about the three options in front of myself.

Each of the three ladies had their very clear pro's and cons.

First, Rias wasn't going to be as much of a... Direct hassle beyond just being supportive to her and making sure she wasn't alone and didn't do anything regrettable. On the other hand, she was a Devil.

And in Marvel, Devils and demons were very fucking scary things that you didn't want the attention of especially when they were kept off the world as much as possible.

Scathach on the other hand, could directly teach me combat in all its melee forms along with getting into Runic and Druidic magic. But she was the biggest liability with how someone could fuck with her ego and core of existence with some misplaced words.
Honestly, I didn't want to mess with Scathach unless I had the Mind Stone to sorta lock her mind up or act as some kind of mental defense.

That left me with Ahri. She was twisted out of shame and guilt for what she had done rather than the abuse itself that had been done to herself. And it was far safer for myself and others to have a mentally shattered person hate themself rather than everyone around them.
And for any issues Ahri had in her nature as a Vastaya Gumiho would be easily solved by my extreme amount of lifeforce.

So after I put together my thoughts I spoke aloud. "I think that right now, I am in the best place to take care of Ahri. I am still learning how to defend myself and others, and if I got Rias I wouldn't be able to defend her should people like Mephisto and other entities come after her."

My sponsor slowly nodded and spoke calmly. "Scathach's teaching skills would enhance your own prodigious combat learning talents... Why not her?"

I shook my head and replied honestly. "I don't think I can provide a safe home for her ego to be put together for now. I don't even know how to go about doing such a thing."

There was a moment of silence before my sponsor gave a small smile as he leaned over and patted my shoulder supportively. "Good... This isn't about you getting a beautiful woman that's inevitably going to latch onto you. This is about you helping put these lost souls back together."

My sponsor rubbed his chin as he was deep in thought before speaking. "A part of me is thinking I could throw a less mentally broken Ino Yamanaka towards you to help with the mental aspects. But that will go bad when Ino mentally collapses when she sees the other victim's memories and makes her relapse."

I gave a wry smile and said. "Yeah, that's probably for the best."

There was a moment of silence before my sponsor shrugged and I saw the same multicolored portal that had teleported me to Marvel swirl to life beside him and then floating out of the portal came a woman with a set of nine large white fox tails that bloody wine red tips on the end of each tail.

"Alright let me just do this." My sponsor mused as he stabbed his finger towards Ahri and I saw a thin golden line snap from Ahri to me in but an instant before fading away.

"There, that is your guy's soul bond. She won't be draining other people's lifeforce without making physical contact and actually trying or otherwise using her lifeforce stealing orbs." My sponsor explained before he gave me a look before smiling and saying.

"I think that will be all for me. We sponsor's aren't supposed to be all over our proteges, so good luck." He spoke before with a blink he was gone.

There wasn't any portal or anything, just one moment he existed in that space and the next he didn't and I could tell that his leaving wasn't any form of magic or meta ability.

It was his sheer power and will pulling himself from this reality and just going elsewhere.

But with my sponsor gone... That left a woman with nine extremely fluffy tails floating in the middle of the hallway between the kitchen and living room.

"Well... Thankfully I got a spare bedroom." I muttered as I carefully got around Ahri and then as I picked her up princess style I felt whatever force that was holding Ahri in the air disappear with her height falling into my arms.

"Hmm." Ahri groaned with her head tilting towards me and I smothered a snicker as I saw her small sharp nose twitching as she took in my scent as I took her towards the spare bedroom that the two vampires hadn't taken.

I gently put her into the bed on her side so she wasn't laying down on her mess of a collection of tails and as I went to pull my arms away from Ahri from under her. Her hand snatched forward with a crushing grip on my own arm.

And then her head slowly raised with her golden eyes lasering into mine as I gently smiled as I felt her grip tighten with fiery silver and gold light being visually drained from myself into Ahri.

"Hello Ahri, my name is Jake. And I am here to help you." I spoke softly as I allowed Ahri to drain me of the seemingly endless lifeforce I had.

And hearing my words she faltered and as the drain slowed to a trick I kept up the supportive smile and spoke softly. "It's ok, I have a lot of lifeforce. You can eat as much as you want, you cannot hurt me Ahri."

I saw her nervously swaying tails stiffening behind her at my words with her large fox ears twitching as her eyes finally tightened along with the hand around my forearm near my wrist.

Finally, she spoke quietly. "You are the one who is supposed to help me?"

After a moment I spoke in the same quiet manner. "I am here to help you come to control your abilities and come to terms with who you are. Can you let me try to help you Ahri?"

She merely looked into my eyes with those glowing amber gems that I realized had a thin ring of bloody wine red within her eyes for a good minute.

Before she slowly nodded and closed her eyes and spoke. "I will try to let you help... Just. Just please sit next to me on the bed so I can feel full and be comfortable."

I raised an eyebrow at what she asked but didn't say anything and my lips twitched in amusement as when I sat on the bed in a propped-up position by the headboards pillows. Ahri just crawled onto my lap and rolled up into a big fluffy ball with her large nine tails covering her from.

'Did I get a mentally broken waifu... Or did I just adopt a needy lap dog?' I couldn't help but muse with amusement as Ahri's form glowed with silver and golden light as she gently touched upon my lifeforce and began draining and actually savoring it.
