Shenhe and Ganyu were going to stay and guard the alchemy factory while Keqing and I went back to Liyue Harbor for business on my end, and Keqing had Liyue Qixing business.

And I was going to meet with Ningguang to talk about Keqing's wedding as we quickly and uneventfully flew back to Liyue Harbor besides dealing with some rank 0ne flying monsters that splattered themselves on the Pelican's energy shielding.

So with how Keqing had some of her duties that needed to be check on, we landed directly onto the pad Ningguang had readied on her Jade Chamber for the Pelican's that were slowly trickling into Liyue's hands.

"Alright, you go ahead and speak with Lady Ningguang if she is available. I have my own duties that will take me a couple of hours at most... Just don't wander the bad sides of Liyue without me alright?" Keqing spoke with concern for me and I naturally nodded to the care in her voice.

With Keqing going to do her busy I went and asked one of Ningguang's secretaries to let Ningguang I wanted to speak with her, at her earliest convenience. And lucky for me, Ningguang was apparently free of Sect Elders / Clanheads coming to bitch at her.

So I was quickly led to the back garden of the Jade Chamber where I saw Ningguang was elegantly sitting on a cushion while looking into a small pond that was filled with demon beast fish that glowed gently as they swam through the water.

"Hmm... Even as a demon beast, they still have the minds of normal carp. They swim endlessly against the tide to leap through the Dragon Gate to become a true Dragon and change their lot in life." Ningguang spoke quietly after a moment of silence as I took a seat a bit away from her.

I gave a slight hum as I looked at the captive koi demon beasts and said. "If a Koi fish leaps through the dragon gate... If it was captive its entire life, would they even become a dragon after leaping through the gate with how everything they had were given by the will of their masters?"

There was a moment of silence before Ningguang spoke again. "Sumeru, Mondstadt, Fontaine, Sneznahya, and Inazuma will be sending representatives and their elders from their sects and organizations to take place in the yearly Liyue tournament for youth geniuses."

I raised an eyebrow at Ningguang and said with a wry smile. "I just reached the first level in Cultivation and Martial Arts. Arent they all at least in tier three or four in either path?"

Ningguang gave me an amused look before she sniffed and said. "Jake, I wasn't asking you to fight. Keqing will be representing Liyue Harbor, but if you wanted to compete using those War-Puppets I would be happy to add you to the tournament."

'Hmm... Not really worth it.' I thought shaking my head while Ningguang gave a soft chuckle as she had already picked apart my personality well and knew I wouldn't be interested in such a thing.

"I didn't tell you this because I wanted you to fight. I wanted to know if you could step up the production of War-Dolls and their ammo, as Lady Rukkhadevata and Lady Nahida have been using your Dolls to great effect in the terrible jungles of Sumeru while the few Pelican's we sold to them make crossing the dessert far more manageable."

I shifted as I absorbed the information and spoke. "Ah so they want more... I mean, I can do so but that would cut into the Spirit Stone production along with the steel, iron, copper and concrete production that is being funneled into Liyue."

And Ningguang frowned slightly in thought before she spoke. "I see... That plaststeel concrete has promise and when done in plates it can hold lower-grade arrays. We were hoping to build another secondary wall far outside of Liyue to work at expanding Liyue Harbor's space to grow."

There was a moment of silence before I spoke. "Well besides to give you a status update on my Alchemy Factory." I took a breath as her golden eyes snapped to mine with an intensity to them. "The Factory itself is set and working to make at a hundred different elixirs at five hundred sets of each elixirs equalling an even five thousand pills/dans of each elixir."

Ninggaung had to mentally download all that information as that was the work of an entire Alchemy Sect's production for a month, but I continued.

"Besides the factory... Ningguang, I was hoping you could help me out with something personal."

Her eyes cleared up of the thoughts and she gave a small smile as she asked. "Oh? What would you like to ask me Jake?"

I then took a moment to order my thoughts before I asked respectfully. "Ningguang, I want to give Keqing a respectful wedding which she desires, but I am not sure how to go about that as I am... Foreign to Liyue obviously."

Ningguang's face turned up into a smile as she chuckled heartily. "Ahaha, I see. Well I am glad you are willing to make an honest woman out of Keqing. But hmm... This is the first time someone has actually approached me for wedding advice."

She placed a finger to her lip as she considered it and then said seriously. "Well Keqing is an important member of the Liyue Qixing, so a simple wedding will be looked down upon by the people and even Keqing has her pride. So Jake, how about I take over setting up the wedding as the host of it?"

And that offer...

I was a man. I had no idea how to set a wedding even in a more western culture as it was done by women and by an army of wedding planners. So if Ningguang was willing to help take over the project I certainly wasn't going to say no.

As I knew for a fact that Ningguang wouldn't let someone or anything mess with such an event as it would be a slap to my face, her face. And a slap to the very face of the leadership of Liyue Harbor.

"I would be honored to have your help Ningguang, thank you honestly," I said with respect.

Lonely Bear

Thank you for the chapter ^~^

Goddess of Victory

TFTC Considering she'll likely want to make it a grand wedding that shows off their wealth and status, and Ningguang's "cheap" is more than the average person makes in their life, I can only imagine the scale it will be. I look forward to Jake's reaction, and also to Kequing's reaction when she hears Jake left it up to Ningguang.
