I gave Lalatina a look as I said with disgust. "Utterly sad honestly... That you allow me to use your body and you play at resisting to make me more forceful."

Once again I looked at Lalatina like she was a particularly well used stall in a bathroom and said flatly. "Sorry to burst your bubble Lalatina, but I don't do weird forced fantasies, sure I will happily have rough sex including choking any everything else... But I don't do that non-consent."

Her mouth opened and closed as she seemingly realized I wasn't... Utterly disgusted and repulsed by her, and that was only due to how I knew that she was completely a virgin all things due to her not having the guts to do anything.

Taking a breath I gave Lalatina a look as I ended my quick look around the thin fog surrounding our little site. "Lalatina, you are a beautiful woman obviously... There was a moment of silence and then Lalatina raised an eyebrow as she looked at me in confusion. "Wait... Do you have a girlfriend?" She asked me and my lips twitched as I thought about Taihou.

Or the weird way Hoshino Ai looked at me during my coming-of-age exam in fighting that merman.

But either way I shook my head as I said with a wry smile. "No not really. I have someone I am intimate with, but we haven't set any form of actual relationship nor do I think she wants to honestly."

I could already imagine it honestly, Taihou throwing a fit at me asking her to officially be my girlfriend and her going on some tangent along the lines of. 'Nooo! Becoming your girlfriend is a demotion! Taihou won't be lowered down from Soul Mate to a mere girlfriend as that means you could break up with Taihou!'

Yup, I could more than see it... I could all but hear her despairing screams as well.

But regardless Lalatina took my answer and tilted her head to the side and said. "Huh... Seems kinda scummy to still be offering to play with other women though."

Without even looking at Lalatina I pulled her head back again by her hair making her moan out loud as I dryly retorted. "Like you wouldn't want to be some hidden mistress I could stuff in my closet to use at my leisure while bound up and stuffed with all manners of toys to keep you edging for hours."

Lalatina coughed with her flushing deeply at how that thought hit home and in her masochistic fetish but either way, I took a breath and said frankly. "Anyway be good and I will let you into my sleeping bag tonight."

She gave me a weird look and with actual humor in her voice she retorted. "And what makes you think I will just accept that?!"

And with zero hesitation I replied with no shame. "Because you are a hopeless pervert and it is only my own desire not to get eaten by some random monster that is stopping you from getting molested or more from me right now... As it's certainly not like you would say no."

Knowing I was right Lalatina went silent and for the next while things were quiet as we watched from the entrance of the cave systems for any monsters or other adventure teams. But thankfully for the next hour, things were safe and quiet with Furina and Keqing returning with Furina pouting and instantly running over to me and hiding behind me from the blank-faced Keqing.

"So did you two find anything?" I asked simply.

To which Keqing nodded slowly and said. "Yes, as I expected, there were indeed some higher quality metals deeper within that the Metal Eating Beetles couldn't digest at their level which allowed us to pick up their remains... In any case, let us set off. We need to reach Lake Forrest before nighttime."

I nodded in understanding as Lake Forrest was our main destination as that area was known for having tiny realm pockets forming due to the forest's odd properties of constraining magical energy and not letting escape so easily. Meaning that the micro realms opening up in the forest would be a bit more stable and last longer for us to find them.

But Lake Forrest was also well known for their monsters and of course, the adventurer teams running through it so we were far more likely to run into teams from our peers along with just monsters in general.

We retook our formation of myself in the center with Lalatina behind us and Keqing to my right with Furina on my left as we made our way north to the forests.

'Hmm, the tree's are also absorbing the mana-filled mist so its a good bit clearer in the forest.' I thought while looking around and seeing the blackened trees blocking out the white mist above us while still letting in plenty of light.

We walked for a good half a dozen miles into the forest and then I threw out my hands to make Furina and Keqing stop walking as the forest had gone completely silent. No soft rustling of the winds through the tree branches. No cries of the monstrous birds calling out to one another to communicate what they were seeing.

Everything had gone abruptly silent and that meant one thing.

A predator who was more dangerous than the normal monsters was here.
