Now imagine after finishing episode 21, the status of every one of our main characters is up in the air, and you have to wait 86 DAYS FOR EPISODE 22 TO AIR. Pure torture. Torture enough, in fact, that I went out and bought the first 3 light novels and read them just so I could finish the arc and figure out if everyone was alive (especially Raiden, bc I have severe emotional attachments to him for absolutely no reason). The effects using the aspect ratio in episode 22 are god tier. I haven't seen it done very often outside of a handful of music videos (ATEEZ's HALA HALA performance video is the first that comes to mind) but 86 handles it beautifully. That whole sequence in Shin's mind is equally mind-blowing and disturbing. This finale is a beautiful finale. All the build up pays of spectacularly and the music throughout the whole show is absolutely god tier. Also did you notice? At the end, when Lena and Shin are about to hold hands but it cuts off right before? Look at the shadows of their hands. They make an 86.

I think she assumed they were dead again even after being told they need live 86 for the chips they where using.because when she saw the roster for the squadron there names where not used since they where giving other names when they became citizens of the federation

No they did not change their names. It just the Federacy blackout some names to “surprise” her so she meets her new team without knowing it is her Spearhead squadron
