So Higuchi has no ability in this show but irl Higuchi Ichiyo was one (if not THE first) of the first professional female writers in Japan. So, kinda sucks that she's not a more prominent character, but i'm glad she got some time to shine here. [[ she's even in some of the Japanese money, she's that dope! ]]

As for Kenji: His ability - Undefeated by the Rain- is based on a poem written by Miyazawa Kenji in which he talks about wishing to be a man who has simple appetites (literally talks about food) but is strong enough to be free of desire and passion.
