The woman reveals herself as Wizard King Julius Novachrono, who (as a magic nerd) is intrigued with Asta's unheard-of anti-magic. Yuno is on his first mission with Klaus and second new recruit Mimosa Vermillion (like Noelle, a royal) as security for Salim de Hapshass, the noble whom Yuno defeated in the exam. Klaus is suspicious of Salim's requesting Yuno, since his defeat meant that no squad wanted him. Salim learns that Yuno came from the village of Hage. They are attacked by bandits, and Salim suggests that they spend the night in nearby Hage. Yuno is welcomed home enthusiastically, and Salim wants to stay a while.
