Remember the leg wound he got a while ago? The bark healed the wound but it was known it couldn't fully heal the muscle. His muscle is acting up because of the effort he's putting forth

Ahhh, the suspense!!!! Is that where Roamer accidentally got stabbed by Fremja during their first encounter with Avanti? :o Guess it did have a lasting consequence...

Well isnt that disappointing. I do like how pissed he is, and I understand his grief is probably catching up to him. I would be pissed at my body of that happened to me, like HEAL U DUM SHIT 😂

Roamer's anger is beyond rage at this point. That the leg was happened then, reminds me of Jerome in GDW anime of same thing. XD I hope the others get ahead and get Ranach.

Not quite related to this page... but was just thinking back to Kargo and while he was one of my favourite characters for sure and I am really saddened by his death, a lot of people were commenting on how he just seemed to die so easily at Ranach's paws, but I just remembered Kargo was technically also defeated by Fjordor, another normal dog, during their sparring match back when they first came to Midnightgarde. :) So he isn't invincible despite that we have seen he is capable of immense strength and skill at fighting - the circumstances just happened to go against him with Ranach getting the first strike, the wall crumbling and our boy being so focused on saving Ferah that he cast his own safety aside and left himself open to Ranach's attacks. Also love the unpredictability of Kique's storytelling!! I thought for sure Roamer was going to catch Ranach in this page, but Kique always keeps us on the edge of our seat :)

Ranach is a goddamn nuisance with no chance of redemption. I'm echoing Roamer here, kill his ass. He has no place anywhere and he had the chance to change his path and maybe start anew and didn't take it. He chose this and you reap what you sow. I really hope this isn't leading to him getting away. I frantically hope. I'd be pissed considering how this whole scene happened. Gods I hope Fremja and Vigr catch him and bring him back alive.I want him to die knowing Rogio is alive and happy to not have to deal with him anymore. Plus if he gets away now it'll just make this climax extra insulting

Now that I can actually see this on the big screen and take it in.... That last panel is killing me. I'm tearing up *for* Roamer. I love Kargo a lot, but weirdly enough I didn't cry over his death (definitely no where close to what I did when Zilas died) but looking at Roamer. My heart breaks for him. He's failed, yet again, to help someone close to him. He got lucky with Ferah, but it isn't looking good for Kargo. And it isn't anything he could control in the end. He was so damn close, but when a muscle gives up, especially an important muscle, there isn't anything you can do. I really do hope they are able to catch up with Ranach, this would be such a disappointing loss if he gets away again, and has a chance at summoning Avanti again. I also want him dragged back alive, so he can face what he has done, and face Rogio. But I can't see the tribe actually doing something like that. A legitimate execution seems out of place for Home (which is why I couldn't see Kargo or Jahla being killed by the capital). I hope everyone left is able to heal from this.

You know what I just remembered/noticed that I'm probably reading too far into? When Kargo broke down, he was crying about if he should point the knife at himself and be done with it. He died having Ranach's knife point at him instead of Ferah in a sense. I wonder if that is going to hurt Roamer later even more. I don't know, either way that's really sad...

Something I don't quite understand that I've been wondering about for the whole attack... how did Avanti know who Rogio was? Unless something else drew her to him. She's never encountered his scent before and I doubt Ranach told her about him?

Avanti can sense former lovers of her "betrothed". Kique mentioned leaving the info out in her bio until we all knew of this.

The twist that spared Ranach’s life: Roamer’s bum leg acting up. Maybe the Irrbloss still have plans for Ranach’s fate, even though he ignored them before.

I`m really glad other MT members are here to help, that´s quick thinking on their part to immediately join the chase. Unfortunately I have the feeling this wasn´t the last we´ve seen of Ranach and Avanti. Although.. wouldn´t it be very ironic if she would go against him, now that she has seen his lover? So very many things happening all at once, and so very many new wounds that need healing :c
