CHAPTER 1, I Want To Believe

She had had a terrible nights sleep. She woke up in a puddle of sweat, breathless and uneasy. Her head was heavy, her back aching. All in all, she felt more tired than when she got into bed the night before.

Sadly, this wasn't a rare occurrence in the recent past. Nightmares regularly haunted her sleep, but when she opened her eyes, she couldn't quite remember any of it. Just a hazy fog in her head that made her anxious, unsettled.

Reluctantly, she swung her legs off the bed and dragged her feet out of the bedroom.

Part of her wanted to stay in and rest. On the other hand, the sun was beaming outside, birds chirping just outside her window.  

Ugh, I really can't be bothered this morning. But it's such a lovely day, almost a shame to waste it indoors. Maybe some fresh air might to me good? But I'm so tired, she battled with  herself.
