Dan and I drove out to Table Mountain a few weeks ago in hopes of maybe encountering a superbloom of sorts. The area is known for sometimes having a lush, colorful variety of flowers in the spring, including purple lupins and orange poppies. Unfortunately, I think we went a bit too late in the season; it seemed that most of the vibrant multicolor patches had dried out. However, there was still plenty of yellow blossoms with a little speckling of purple here and there. If we get decent rainfall next year we will probably try again!

There are a few weeks here in Texas where the Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrush are stunning! Maybe one day we could see Devi wearing nothing but a cowboy hat...and a smile! Yee-Haw!
