How about Sage plays a hypnosis game with us? He'll start weak and tell us to try to resist. If we're able to look away after ten seconds, we'll go again and he'll up the strength - it could start with just colors, barely anything beyond flashes in his eyes that catch our attention, but when we inevitably get out of that he could throw in suggestions to gaze deeper that make it harder to look away. If we can resist that, he'll add in some relaxation to make us less able to physically move, but still potentially able to if we can concentrate hard enough. Beyond that, he can take away our ability to think for ourselves, then use his coils to direct our attention, induce hallucinations, affect changes in what we desire (make us not WANT to look away), and finally go full-strength until we ping and there's no escape. He'd then vore us, obviously, but that's part of what we came for, of course.
