This week was a really fun week filled with editing, approving edits, and more editing!  So, yay?  Anyone who knows me can attest to the fact that I absolutely abhor the editing process.  The first edit usually isn't bad.  The second is marginally worse.  But by the time we get to the copy editing, I feel like I'm banging my head against the wall.  And I'm not even the one doing it!  God bless my copy editors - without them, I feel confident in saying that I would not be in a great place (psychologically speaking!).  Even when all I have to do is approve their work, it's super tedious, so I can only imagine what it's like to comb through all my mistakes.  So, shout out to all the folks at Podium; without them, my work wouldn't be nearly as polished.

But given that I had to approve the copy edit for Death: Genesis 4 as well as the final edit (and typesetting) of book one of Mistrunner this week, it was definitely a frustrating few days.  It's all done now, though!

Regarding story progress, Death: Genesis is still kicking along, and I'm excited about some of the developments in store for the next couple of weeks.  It's all fun progression, so I'm eager to see how you all respond to it.  I'm about 60-65% finished with book five, so I'm starting to climb toward the climax (should be done in about a month, I think).

As to Mistrunner, I'm only about five or so chapters from the end of the book, and this week, I'll be hitting the climactic scenes pretty hard.  As usually, they'll probably go through a re-write or two before I'm done, but as difficult as the process is (because I need to get it perfect), it's always rewarding.  I hope you'll all respond well to it.

In news concerning my third project, I've decided to name the first book Heretic.  The overall series is going to have a different name (I'm thinking Knight of Something or Something Knight), but I'm not sold on anything yet.  I have mapped out the progression system, though, which means that pre-writing is just about finished.  Now, I just have to implement it into the outline so the progression makes sense within the confines of the story.  But it's definitely coming together very well, and I'm very excited about how it's developing.

Well - that's it for this week.  If you  have any questions or anything, just let me know!  As always, thanks for your support, and I hope my work continues to be worth your time.
