So - that's another week in the books, and I have to say that I was really, really pleased with my output for the past few days.  I got a ton done, and I think there are some really cool chapters in there.  So, I'm pretty happy with how things are shaping up.

Remember - with book three of Death: Genesis coming out next month, I'll be removing that content from here and on Royal Road.  So, if you're planning on doing a pre-release re-read, now's probably the time to get it done.  As I did last time, I'll try to provide a .pdf for those chapters that'll stay up for a bit longer, but it's always better to just get it out of the way sooner rather than later.

In terms of how the story's going, I'm very happy with the chapters that have been released the past couple of weeks (and the ones scheduled for the near future).  I'm a huge fan of world-building, so it's been a blast putting the dwarf arc together.  I hope you'll all enjoy it, too.

In Mistrunner news, I'm only about 10 chapters away from finishing book 2, and I'm extremely pumped about writing the climax.  I've had it in mind for months now, so I'm glad that I'm finally getting to it.  I'm sure everybody's going to love it.

And finally, with my third project, I've come up with an overall name for the story.  It's not a hundred-percent, and it'll be accompanied by individual book names (probably), but right now, I'm calling it Heretic.

Regarding its progress - I'm only a hair's breadth from finishing with the world building.  After that, I'm going to put together the power progression and characters.  Once that's done, I'll be getting down to the writing part.  It's been a long time coming, so I'm excited about getting into it.

Be aware, it's going to be a gritty story, so keep that in mind when I start publishing (probably a few months away, but just a fair warning).

Anyway, that's it for now.  If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, let me know!  As always, thanks for your support!

Looking forward to the new book! Not sure you needed to warn us it would be gritty though. That’s kind of your thing.

Yeah - I guess that's fair. But just to give you an idea, one of the most pivotal scenes in the first act is the main character waking up on a corpse barge and having to crawl through a bunch of dead bodies (who've been infected by a plague). So...pretty gritty.

So we’re going from Blood Meridian to The Road?

The first act is definitely supposed to be a kick in the teeth. I'm not going full misery porn (a la most weak-to-strong cultivation books), but there's definitely betrayal. I mean, the whole point of the first couple of thousand pages is that the main character is given a divine mark that's illegal and punishable by death. Of course, there's way more to it than that, but that's the fun of that kind of story.
